I admit that his looks influenced my decision to have him as my thesis advisor... what a mistake. In classes he was great, very helpful and challenging. As an advisor he was chronically late and missing appointments, gave me almost no guidance, and transformed into my least favorite professor. But I'd still like to drink a pint with him.

Comment:

While he is rather charming to many people, he tends to hold grudges against people too. I challenged him publicly on some of the problems with his method and gave very thorough analytic reasons, and he hated me thereafter. Also, his research is trivial and his enthusiasm quite empty.
