He knows that not everyone is going to like him and if you don't, he is aware of it and doesn't believe he has the ability to hit home with you without sacrificing the success he has had with so many people. In the end, only the people who want to hear what he has to say will. My advice-take one class and you will know From there the choice is urs.

It's 15 years since I had Steve as my art teacher. To call him a "teacher" is not giving him enough credit. To me, he became a mentor. His unorthodox views and teaching methods are things "true artists" thrive on. If he seems arrogant it's because you're focusing on his delivery rather than content. He's a true artist and has lots to offer.

Do not take this class. He is extremely arrogant and rude and will not let you experience museums on your own terms. He loves to talk about "his theories", which are completely false and he has no idea what he is talking about. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE...he will fill your mind with nonsense.

Plain & simple - take this guy as many times as you can. The classes are easy, but he will teach you alot, & not just about silly art. You'll have a new outlook on life after the classes. He is very honest & upfront about what he feels & thinks. The classes will take directions you never expected. Again, take this guy & see for yourself.

This professor not only teaches you about art, he also gives you a great lesson on life. He is amazing and he demands that you express yourself clearly and concisely. If you want someone who will be brutishly honest then take this guy. Amazing man!

I think the reason most people end up not liking this class is they aren't used to someone who is brutally honest and very direct. I enjoyed his class and found it very refreshing. If I had discovered his classes sooner I would have enrolled in others.
