I enjoyed his classes and teaching. At times he fails to help shape the student's understanding of what he wants. But his experience sure helps from a practical business terms. He just needs to provide more helpful material and guidance to students to be able to complete and deliver good assignments, instead of them guessing what to deliver..

the guy is of no use, ask him a question and get a reply question. He only teaches confusion and frustration. It is extremely difficult to hear and see him 2 times a week for 6 hrs.

Stephan is a good teacher...but his exams are way hard...if u know the definitions from the text book u will do good on his exams...the short answers will kill u though...I like stephan...but the again i have scarcastic sense of humour

holy**** this is without a doubt the worst teacher in the world. I learned nothing from this class. The lab was OK, but even that was very dry..I HATE U HAYWARD. Our class average failed the midterm..way to teach us anything at all..GOD DAMMIT

Wow this class is awful. When the term started I was really interested in learning more about databases. The result was totally different. His lectures are disorganized and stream of though, he contradicts himself often. He never checked assignments. He leaves the lab and lecture early and never comes back. I wish I could kick him!

Worst instructor ever, unnatentive, bad attitude towards students, immature behavior, general lack of organization and minimal understanding of subject material, dont ever ask him a question expecting to get a straight answer. I would definately reccomend you switch out of his class if you end up with him. Great lack of structure to his classes.

Steve has that great balance of providing you with info to do your work mixed with the challenge you need to grow as a student. Anyone that argues with that does not appreciate an education for what it is... TO LEARN! Steve prepared me well for my career and if you think he hasnt then get out of your SE field and do something related to ISD.

Opinionated and detatached from industry. After taking his class and working for two years everything he teaches is dated and close to useless. You spend all your time building a document to describe a system when you could have the system built in the same time. Go to a company and say you can make a document about what they should do ? Dinosaur
