Design was ok with him but he rushes to get through the Photoshop and InDesign Exams at the beginning of the semester. You have a project nearly every week and it can be stressful but it helps getting us ready for our lives after college. Nice guy but a really tough grader.

Levering is one of the best professors I have ever had. I took him for Design and then again in Digital Story Telling. In Design he is a tough grader but it is not difficult to get a high B and more work to get an A. He is ALWAYS willing to help you and get to know him because it will make your life a lot easier.

Steve is awesome! He really knows his stuff. The class is somewhat difficult, but if you do your work and don't wait til the last minute, you'll be fine. He is a tough grader, but it also fair because he tells you exactly what he expects, so it's up to you to do it! TAKE THIS CLASS!!

One of the most useful classes I've had at TCU. Comm Graphics requires a lot of outside work so be prepared and he isn't an easy grader, but he's fair. You have to be ready to deal with criticism, but as a person he's really nice and hilarious. The class is structured as a employee/boss relationship. It's tough but worth it for the skill set!

Professor Levering is awesome! One of the best professors in the entire department. He's extremely passionate about what he teaches, and he seems to genuinely care about his students. The projects and lessons are time-consuming, but what you learn is very useful - you can put it in your resume!

Communication Graphics is such a fun and interesting class and Mr. Levering does a really good job of teaching it. Tutorials are fast paced but they really help you learn the material. Go to class otherwise youll fail. Textbooks are a must. Requires a lot of time outside of class but its a great way to practice using photohop and indesign.

Comm in Society is by far one of the most interesting classes I've taken at TCU. You have to go to class to find out what chapters to read in the book. There are only four grades for the class, so you have to be proactive about studying. Levering and Shaw both teach it, and its wonderful. I'd definitely recommend it.

Levering is a great teacher who is passionate about what he teaches. His notes are much different than Shaw's and he is more interactive with the students. It is a shame that he doesn't do more of the lectures for this class. If the combo. is Shaw/Levering take the class.

I had Levering for comm graph and mass comm. He is a good teacher, with relevant and useful lessons in a laid back manner. I highly reccommend taking him. Be sure to print color projects in color and fold brochures even if he doesnt mention it. Dont underestimate the elements of design test. Study for it.

He talks a bit too quickly while delivering the notes, but other than that, he's a great professor. Besides, Dr Shaw does most of the lectures for this class.

Best teacher I've had so far. Levering is really interested in his students and really easy to talk to! Make sure you go to class, take good notes, and read what is required. Class is an EASY A. Levering shows lots of screenings which are really fun and they are actually really helpful in learning what he is trying to teach you. Levering is LEGIT!

best professor I've had up at TCU. Don't let the others fool you - I went in with NO computer design skills and was able to learn them thanks to Steve. Just show him you're trying, that goes a llloonng way. I LOVE STEVE LEVERING! best professor ever!

nice guy and is never in a bad mood going to class. but he grades hard and expects a lot out of you which sucks. he especially grades hard on the projects and gets a bit sassy on his comments. i thought it would be an easy a and i thought i was creative until this class. but you can tell who his favorites are and i wasn't one of them.

He's a good teacher and a nice guy. But, like someone mentioned earlier he can be a hard grader. His projects can have vague information so don't rely on the info he gives you. Ask him plenty of questions on what you should and should not include. It's easy to do well in this class but if you over look even the little things you will get docked.

Definitely my favorite professor this semester! This class is aweseom and he does a great job at explaining exactly what he wants. He also does a class critiques on the projects so you don't make the same mistake twice. Wonderful guy!
