Mr. Loucks is a great teacher. He is very helpful and yes he does know his subject, he is nationally know for his work. And yes, he does have options, just like everyone else. You must go to class to make a good grade and he will help when you ask him. He changed my view of art and actually help me decide on changing my major to fine arts.

I really like this teacher, he is very helpful, but be prepared to do things his way. He does know his ceramics though. Just GO TO CLASS and do the projects.. you get to take them home anyway.. if you aren't interested in art and making things then i wouldn't take the class.. it is a fun, hands on class.. just easy to get behind if you don't go.

STEVE was a very rude and ignorant professor. I do not believe he had any skill in ceramics , if he did he did not show it. He was too busy running his mouth about his liberal views and being negative to anyone who had questions. He expected way too much for beginning ceramics. I feel for any students who expect to take ceramics & learn something.

He is a good teacher, and really knows what he is doing. He is very passionate about what he does, and is very willing to teach what he knows. He can be a bit rude at times, but that is just the way he is. I don't think he really means anything bad, but anyone that was looking to be offended would be. After all, "College isn't for everyone."

Alright here's the deal: If you don't give a**** about ceremics or sculpture, Loucks isn't going to like you. Everyone ****ing about him being rude more than likely took ceramics just for an 'easy A' and was suprised when they found out Loucks actually is passionate about what he does.

I'm not sure why the '04 semester kids were such crappy guys, but Steve is awesome. I was never good at making anything, but I really opened up in a majorly creative way. I want to do more. Mr. Loucks is a excellent teacher and knows what he's doing.

He's a jerk and hes rude. Guess I would be grumpy if all I could find to do in society was teach people how to make little ugly ceramic bowls for a living. Such a waste of payroll...
