Brewer is such a nice guy. His assigned work was confusing to comprehend a lot of the time, but he's patient with explaining it over again. He is thoughtful in how he evaluates work, and a lot of work is to be put in for the few big assignments in the class. There was a required textbook, but I survived without it.

Dr. Brewer is a great guy. This class is a lot of work but if you show effort and are actively engaged with the class, Brewer will notice this and your grade will reflect. There was 4 projects throughout the course with the middle 2 taking up a substantial part of the course. Don't save stuff for last minute in this class, it won't be fun.

don't bother wasting your money on the textbook; you'll barely use it. his writing class is pretty much a waste of time..literally. this guy's "projects" took more time to complete than all my other classes combined. that being said, he's a helpful guy. just a lot of work.

Steve Brewer is one of the nicest professors I've had. He's always willing to give you extra time on assignments without lowering your grade. If you're not really familiar with Microsoft Word, formatting your papers can be difficult but he's always willing to help.

I thought this class was very manageable - weekly journal entries and group projects throughout the semester. Steven gives you every chance to succeed, and overall a very nice guy.

First off, Steven is a nice man. But he is a horrible teacher, very hard to understand and hard to know what he is asking of you. He made a class that was about writing in biology into a computer science course! And he made us do work for the town of Amherst, haven't we given them enough with all our cash! Please Steven, stick to the BCRC.

This guy is nice but extremely boring. He never seems to be able to answer questions.

This class is a requirement for bio majors. Steven is a really nice guy. took the time to learn everyone's name. Just very very confusing! A lot of the class time seemed useless. class content needed more structure. Also, if you dont have a Mac you may be a little lost...

This class is very computer oriented. There are four writing assignments which are usually done in groups...over the computer, and most of them required outdoor activity such as going into the woods.
