Hands down best professor I ever had at SU. Hilarious, sharp, smart--you'll learn a lot from him, and have a good time doing it.

Prof. Davis is great. He instills great qualities of a journalist in his students. Be observant, ask questions, always be thinking. He can be pretty critical, but he knows his stuff. He's chair of the department for a reason, take 305 with him if possible.

My favorite professor at SU. His class is like a newsroom and he is the editor. He is brilliant and witty and very available for student's concerns. I e-mailed him, swung by his office and called his office, cell and home many times a week. This man knows what he's doing and Newhouse should be proud to have him.

He's very arrogant and cynical (a true journalist)... but in my book, that's a good thing. He's also hilarious and BRILLIANT. He's an awesome representation of Newhouse

Uncompromising. Sticks to his guns. Works hard. Don't get on his bad side, or your grades will feel it.

He's very helpful with students and focused on their concerns. He also has a good sense of humor that he brings to every class. Reporting is not the easiest class, but if you put in the work, he'll reward you.

Amazing professor. Knows exactly how to balance academia and real-world skills. If it's not important, he doesn't cover it. If it's important, his standards are high, but with reason. Great person as well. My favorite class/prof at SU.

One of the best newspaper teachers around. He's salty and sarcastic, but a true newspaperman who truly cares about news ... and his students. He somehow finds that rarely attained balance between academic proficiency and newsroom-style moxie.
