Doloff is hilarious. His lectures are so fascinating, and really helps you understand the subject. He is the coolest guy and has so many interesting stories. His readings may seem optional (because his lectures give you all the answers to the test) BUT IT'S NOT. His term paper will be agonizing if you don't read. DON'T PROCRASTINATE IN THIS CLASS.

You definitely need to read the books he assigns! You will regret it if you don't. Doloff is one of the best professors I've had, and even though I got a B, I don't even care. This man has to be protected at all costs, he is a true gem!

Doloff is the best: his lectures are hilarious, he cares about the course material, and he's a genius. You don't need to do any of the reading because he gives you all the answers to the tests during lectures. Awesome teacher- totally cares about students, just start talking to him and he'll tell you anything you need to know.

His midterm and final tests aren't easy, but they're pretty straightforward and he grades fairly. Even though his classes are just boring lectures, he makes them funny and interesting. You have to take notes and read the book.

One of the best teachers ever, period. No class discussions, but this may be because his lectures are so entertaining no one wants to interrupt him. Concise, interesting lectures. Really emphasizes context of the works being discussed. Also, he always lets the class out early. Bottom line: light workload, but you still learn a ton.

Comic Apocalypse is a great class. I had him for World Lit, too. Lectures are informative and work load is light. Not too mention, it was a class I was always excited to show up for.

Totally overrated. Seriously don't believe the hype in all these other reviews. It's true, he's a cool guy and he's funny, but he's not out of this world, and you'll soon forget him once you're done with his class. He does end class early most of the time, and it's true that he doesn't give a damn about who you are as an individual. He's alright.

Doloff is better than you. He looks like Johnny Depp and Frank Zappa, and he's smarter than you will ever be. And he's done more drugs than you will ever do. You can't win. Just take his class and marvel.

Professor Doloff is perhaps the most interesting teacher at Pratt. His lectures are hilarious, and although he's not so big on individual attention, you feel bonded to him from the first day! He really covers the lesson well. Take good notes, they're worth it. He's inspirational, too, so writing while he speaks is GOLDEN. I love this man. He is GOD

Awesome lectures, awesome cultural links. For example, our unit was based around the monomyth, so what did we watch at the end of the year? Groundhog Day. Better yet? It made SENSE. Take Doloff. Take good notes and you'll ace the class.

Doloff is great, hands down. Our class lasted an hour, never more. The reading is pretty easy but even if you don't do it he explains everything to you so take good notes. He's funny too and likes to stick in personal stories and movie trivia. I can't wait to take another class with him.

Doesn't give a sh*t about individual students. Uses class as forum for self-congratulatory orations. Is generally well-meaning and you can learn a lot from him, but not a life-changing professor.

He's a great teacher. The class is NOT an easy A, but it isn't hard as long as you take good notes and go to class. He explains everything so well, that if you don't read the book, you still come away from the class feeling as is you read it a dozen times. If you ever have the chance to have him as a teacher, do it!

His classes are the most interesting in the English/Humanities dept...definitely worth taking, if you want to spend 3 hours a week discussing awesome books like Catch 22, Lolita, and Day of the Locust. A very easygoing guy, even if you're not that interested in the subject matter, he makes it interesting.

gives quick but very concise lectures - we ALWAYS got out of class early (it was supposed to go until noon and I don't think we ever got out after 11), great guy, take his class if you want an easy A
