Dr. Gray is a brilliant accompaniest and a very funny guy. He's also a good teacher although I never got to take him for advanced theory where I think I could have learned a lot from him. Very dry sense of humor. Some might find him elitist--I just found him hysterical.

His class scared me at first but his study guides & class notes make it not such a big deal. Just make up some flash cards. I recommend coffee before class. I asked him questions after class with no problems & did pretty bad on all the tests and midterm but wrote good concert reviews and xtr credit book report and got a B! Show some interest.

Professor Gray is too smart to be teaching at a junior college. I'm sure he gets frustrated trying to teach beginners like us. He plays the piano brilliantly. He's a VERY nice man.

I was very intimidated by this class because he does not make anything clear.I realized it's easy though.All you need are the study guides and you just look off them for the online quizes. no lectures or book notes necesary-only for study quides. the midterm is a bunch of quiz questions. VERY EASY!!

He does not answer email, and is not approachable after class. Makes fun of you if you ask a bunch of questions in class. He is not clear on anything, though his study guides help. The third week of school he was already on Chapter 7. He does not tell you what chapter he is lecturing on. Avoid.

His class is small and simple. We usually just listen in class and go afterwards. There are not any kind of trick question on tests and quizzes. You get good scores if and only if you study. Basically, you just read and listen in class, but again, you must study for tests.

This is a nice light class for the casual music observer. Two papers which are not strenuous, and two exams which are also not overly difficult. His personality is nice, and he plays the piano magnificently.

He's an ok teacher. Wasn't too hard but you had to read the chapters and listen to the CD's. Quizzes were easy if you listen in class and read the book. Midterm and final were hard though.
