Comment:

Hetzler is a very interesting professor. He seems to talk about a lot of nonsense during class. I came to every class but eventually realized that taking notes and paying attention was not important. His tests are not too hard as long as you study the night before and he gives LOTS of partial credit. Easy to pass considering I did not pay attention

Comment:

Very kind and caring professor. I am very bad at calculus, but he gives a lot of partial credit on exams that helps boost your grade! Very little homework, which is nice. Only had 2 quizzes, 3 exams + the final, and one project. Best math professor at SU. Also he holds office hours where you can ask him questions! He is willing to help students.

Dr. Hetzler is a really great professor! He's always open to questions and wants every student to succeed. His office hours are a great resource because he is always willing to help his students! He really enjoys teaching, very approachable, and thoroughly explains everything.

Overall really great professor. He really enjoys when people participate in class and ask questions. Make sure to do the entrance slips, because you can ask questions about any of the material he is covering. The online homework is relatively easy and as long as you study you'll pass all of the tests and quizzes.

Dr. Hetzler was the most helpful professor i have ever had. I am not a math person by any means and was very worried about his class. He was there to help no matter what or how many questions i had. The class is tough but if you pay attention and take good notes you'll pass. I would definitely take another class with Dr. Metzler again

He is a very nice man, who you can tell really enjoys teaching and helping his students. Math is not easy for me however, but I believe because of him, it was a little easier for me, and I did decently. He will go over anything you need to, however many times you want. He is always saying, "come to my office hours, email me if you need help."

The nicest professor I have ever had. He cares a lot about whether or not students actually learn the material, and puts that ahead of punitive grading. Very approachable and will actually explain things until you get it if you just ask. Assigns groups personally based on interests/abilities instead of letting students throw a popularity contest.

He will help you whenever, is approachable and understanding. However his teaching method was very confusion. Online homework was not fitting for a calc class and I never used my textbook I spent over 100 dollars on. He knows a lot about the subject and enthusiastic about teaching but not good at getting the message across.

Dr. Hetzler is one of my favorite professors in the Math/CS department. He's extremely thorough and will answer any question you may have (however off topic) before moving on. Dynamics and Chaos is his specialty so I was expecting the class to be really difficult but he did an amazing job making sure everyone understood the material.

Wonderful professor! His lectures were very well-structured and he was always available and extremely helpful during his office hours. I never took Calc in HS but got an A in his class. Definitely recommend, especially if Calc isn't one of your strengths!
