Best professor I've had at Georgetown by far. His lectures are insanely interesting and as long as you pay attention, take good notes, and are willing to learn the material thoroughly, you can absolutely get an A. Don't pass up a chance to take him just because you've heard he's difficult, you'll regret it.

I was a student with Sabat in the early 1990s, and glad to see he's still at Gtown. Here's how to get an A: Do not miss class, take detailed notes. Ask when don't understand. Study every 2 weeks, find an empty classroom & re-enact the lecture over and over. When you can do so w/o notes, you're ready for your A. No fudging: you know it or you don't!

TAKE THIS CLASS! If you go to lectures and study you will get an A. Regardless of the grade, this class will give you new perspectives and help you grow as a person. Sabat is by far one of the best professors I have had and I am indebted to him for everything he has taught me this semester. If you have the chance to take his class, do it.

Professor Sabat is one of the most profound professors at Georgetown. He is very insightful, and his lectures allow you to apply your knowledge to your everyday lives. However, he is a really hard professor, so do not expect an easy A at all.

Extremely hard to get an A. But this is not one of those classes you take to get an A. This is one of those classes you sign up for because you want to be challenged and be taught by a great mind. ]. One of the few professors left at Georgetown that continues to uphold Georgetown's approach of "care for the whole person". Absolutely brilliant man.

Greatest, most life-changing professor I've ever had. Very challenging, but SO worth it. I go to office hours just to take advantage of talking to such an intelligent person. One of Georgetown's finest. Don't pass up this opportunity, take his class.

One of the best teachers I have taken at Georgetown, but also the hardest! Lectures are so interesting but exams are very difficult. If you love psychology then take him because he is the best! Take him if you want an experience not if you want an easy grade(more than likely you won't get anything near an A but it's still worth it!)!!!

Don't believe the hype. Only take this class if you are a Psych major. Save yourself and take an easier class. This is a very challenging class that requires a ton of memorization and Sabat does not help you with review sessions, study guides or past exams. Do not take this class if you want an easy A.

I took three classes with Sabat and was happy with all of them. I might advise taking someone else for general if you want to do well, but definitely take Physiological with him, it was one of the best classes I took. He is incredibly helpful and will work with you until you understand, but the tests are difficult.

Sabat is life-changing. He is genuine, and will always treat you, not like a student, but like a human being. This class is hard, but I strongly recommend that this doesn't discourage you from taking him. The amount and quality of knowledge that you will learn with him will not even compare to what the other Gen. Psych professors have to offer here

One of my favorite professors. Lectures were really interesting. Take notes!!! The short essays are based on them which can make or break your grade. While attendance isn't mandatory, it is definitely wise to be at every class. You will miss a lot of material and probably fail a quiz otherwise. Super nice guy. Worth the effort! It's HARD!
