Would I grab a few beers and watch the Cardinals with Professor Thomas? Absolutely. Would I take him for MGT 345 again? NOT. A. CHANCE. Cool guy, especially since he constantly talks about sports (which isn't cool with some people). But man, his lectures were awful. Nothing to do with HR. And his tests are incredibly hard. AVOID

That project is the worst thing ever. Takes up an incredible amount of time that you barely go over material for the tests which are difficult. Very dis-organized teacher, teaches in an extremely difficult way to understands. Expects everyone to already know every thing about the subject. Horrible professor.

The group project is wayyyyyy too much work. You have to spend all your time on that and there is no time to study for the tests on the material. Fairly difficult tests too. The project is just so big and takes up way too much time, lotta work. And he doesn't explain it well.

Very boring. Implies all of the answers to the sample exams. Presumes, worngly, we have a small background knowledge of HR before we even had our first actual learning class. The test are diffuclt (400+). the group projects are diffuclt without getting more than the three he allows for the projects. Quizzes are diffuclt. The textbook is more useful

Thomas is very boring! His lectures are tough to follow along with and his tests are difficult. He gives a study guide out before the exam, so make sure you do it all!!! The tests are not the same as the study guide, so make sure you understand the concept. He is a great guy if you get to know him and willing to help you if YOU try.

Dr. Thomas has great stories relating to real HR situations, but there is a huge group assignment, and it's hard to get help outside of office hours. Do the study guide for every test and you should do fine, but beware, they are long, and it's hard to find the answers because they are worded differently in the book. This class takes a lot of time.

He is a grumpy person. He doesn't care if you learn or not. He is grade oriented. Rude! Gives test questions way before because he knows that you cannot find the answers. If you have to take him do this. Record the class and study mostly his power point but if you don't take notes (which is impossible without recording the class) you will fail.

Really boring. Tests are mostly mult. choice. Gives you a practice test. take this to class and complete during lecture so that you can get the right ones. 25-30 pts on tests are stats stuff not very easy. other than tests 12-15 online tests. easy points. miss only 2 classes and you get some extra credit. practice tests are the key to a good grade.

He must have changed the class around, because he does not let you use a cheat sheet. He also does not let you have the test in advance. He does give you a study guide, but make sure you read each chapter carefully. Also, his assignments are difficult. I would not reccomend taking this class unless you are proficient with Microsoft Excel.

May be the worst teacher that I have ever had at MSU. He is a horrible test writer, and his numerous out-of-class assignments are tedious and time consuming. He is subtely arrogant, which gets annoying after the first couple weeks. Avoid at all cost!

Dr. Thomas is by far one of the hardest teachers I've had. That being said, hes also one of the only ones I've liked taking lessons from as well. He gives lectures and expects you to do the reading outside of class. He is very helpful when you have a problem and will try his best to make you understand the issue at hand. Overall really enjoyable
