Dr. Stratford is a very caring professor. The whole classed was based off exams. 70% of the exam grade comes from drawing graphs like we did in class. He does give partial credit and drop your lowest grade. The final was easy and boosted me up to an A. First exam, got a 53 (dropped) 2nd exam got a 75. 88 on the final saved me. STUDY AND GO TO CLASS

Very smart and knows what hes talking about. However, at times he is far too advanced for an ECON202 class making already boring lectures hard to follow. No extra credit. A large majority of your grade comes from the extremely hard 3 tests you take. There are a few points given for clicker questions and homework assignments. Don't take for ECON202.

A great all-around professor, really knows his stuff and gives solid lectures at a good pace. In the honors section, class size was small enough to get individually noticed and helped and he was always happy to discuss any subject material. Tests and assignments were challenging but fair.

Dr. Douglas teaches in a very clear and concise manner, which makes note-taking easy. Attendance is encouraged, as a lot of material is covered in the lectures. He is the best professor I've had at WVU so far, and I'm a junior.

Great professor and class. Definitely take a class with Dr. Douglas if you have the chance! Really knowledgable and interesting, encourages discussion, keeps a great attitude. You need to go to class and read the book, but he's very helpful and you can easily get an A in his class if you put a little effort into it!

Hard class, but Stratford is a cool guy. He gets to know you at the beginning of the semester, then gives you examples based on your interests. If you're not willing to put in effort and go to class, not for you. Very accessible and helpful during office hours, posts past exams to help you prepare, and allows cheat sheets for exams.

Great teacher! Class is hard to those who do not attend. He writes notes on an overhead and those are the only notes he gives out. This is not a push over class but he makes Econ fun. He also uses Aplia and you have homework every week but if you can do simple math you'll be fine. He let my class use a 8X11 front and back cheat sheet for the final.

Mr. Douglas is the BOMB!!The class is hard if your not willing to come to class, and work hard for your grade. If you want an easy class this isn't for you, but if your willing to put in the time you'll really enjoy the class, and I think the Stratford makes a bad class a little bit better.

Professor Douglas as a person is a very nice man. But as a teacher, I have not learned one thing in that class. He gives you a notecard cheatsheet for the tests but if you go from your notes and his key points, they are useless. His tests are ridiculously hard, I just finished the final with a 46% and I usually get all A's. Avoid if possible!

Very sweet guy, organized lecturer. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there are no slides, so you have to go to class to get the notes. Tests are kind of difficult, but you get you use a notecard as a cheat-sheet. Overall, Prof. Douglas made econ relatively painless.

Strat is the man. Econ can be pretty boring and he makes it kind of entertaining. His tests can be a little difficult but if you do better on the second one than the first he cancels your grade on the first. I would highly recommend taking him.

Listen everyone... this is the final word in entry level econ... all your friends are going to tell you that the class is common sense... IT'S NOT!!!!... the material is so boring it makes me sick but Prof. Douglas is the BOSS... if you don't take him for your econ classes then you've made a huge mistake... he is HILLARIOUS... Extremely good teach.
