He's not very helpful with his writing assignments. He just tears apart your paper and is very general about it so it's hard to fix it in the future. He can be very condescending and he gets mad really easily. He stormed out of the room when no one answered one of his questions. He sometimes gives extra credit at the end of the semester though

Literally my favorite professor at Stonehill. He is absolutely hilarious and can be kind of a hard ass but he is awesome. Grading is not as insane as everyone else claims it to be. You get out of it what you put in- making him a pretty fair grader. He's also easy on the eyes, so enjoy that. TAKE HIS CLASS! and goodluck!

I had daily panic attacks because of Professor Kane. He wants his essays written in a specific way that does not make any sense. If you do not follow how he wants you to write the essay you will not do well. Participation is also graded in this class and although I speak in every class and contribute to discussions I have a C in participation.

Professor Kane was my favorite professor, and I'm a science major. He makes class interesting, and always connects the books we read to real life occurrences. His exams are tough and there's a ton of writing, but if you pay attention and put in effort you'll be fine.

Yes he is more difficult than most for an intro level class. However, he is an outstanding professor and a really good dude. Sure his papers are difficult but he really doesn't grade that hard if you just do what he asks. Reading is required but it is not essential to pass. If you're an English major id definitely take him.

As a biology major, I have to say that this course was by far the hardest I've taken. He is an extremely tough grader, his mid term and final exam are very tough. Its pretty ridiculous that he makes an intro course so difficult. I do not recommend him at all. His expectations for underclassman are way too high, and should be teaching upper level.

This man is incredibly smart, and knows it. Kane is a professor that should be taken as a junior or a senior his expectations for freshmen are way too high, and grades toughly. His class is interesting, but but a fun one.

Very interesting class, Professor Kane is clever and pleasant to talk to, even at 8:30 AM. The class was challenging but not impossible. He understands that the material can be complicated, but makes it a passable class.

Professor Kane is very entertaining if you are into witty banter and intellectual humor. I personally enjoyed him a lot he is a tough grader but also a fair one. He leaves paper topics open so you can challenge yourself appropriately. I'd take him again for sure.

He's a nice guy and pretty approachable. His papers were very detailed and he graded them pretty hard. The tests were kinda hard too, but somehow my final grade was higher than anything I got for any of his assignments. I'd recommend someone else as a teacher, but if you take him the class isn't bad.
