Comment:

She is passionate about the subject but she doesnt have the skills to make you understand it. Does lots of proofing thats OK. She doesnt start well from what you know and slowly go into the unknown. If you get lost somewhere, asking questions wont help you much because you are really lost everything. I self studied really hard to earn my grade.

Comment:

Unorganized, poorly-paced, and difficult-to-understand teaching. Terrible grader, with few partial credit on exams and bad grading policy. Okay for lower math, awful for higher. If taken for higher math, ask help from Stanton, Mead or tutors instead. Linear is hard enough without a bad teacher. Most students retook final. Don't feel bad for her.

Sue is such a caring teacher and really takes time to help you when you have questions. She does group work and always asks if we understand. She reviews information and answers questions. She really wants you to practice so that you can be ready for the exams.

If you have trouble with math don't take her. She doesn't do much lecture and she has favoritism. She also does not offer much help. You can re-take her quizzes and exams, but she takes a lot of points for a simple mistake; such as forgetting a negative or positive sign and on her exams you can only re-take some parts of the exam not all.

Easy A, but I love math so my opinion can be biased. You can retake quizzes use notes on tests, midterms, and finals. Grades you in three different ways to maximize your chances of receiving a passing grade. Cares more about you learning the material then being a tough grader.

Sue is a great teacher, she know the material well and loves what she does. She is always willing to help and shows you different ways to do the problems. She lets you do the problems how ever is easiest for you. She just wants you to understand the material and not just memories equations. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

She doesn't teach much and just rants about math theories and stuff that she thinks matter and expects you to do well on homework and tests which had nothing to do with what she said in class. The worst math class experience ever

She means well, but her teaching is horrible. She teaches as if the class in on her level of understanding of Calculus already. She talks more about theory than the actual math and doesn't even go in order of chapters in the book, which makes it worse. Don't take her unless you're okay with teaching yourself the material .

Professor's grading system is ridiculous and sets people up to fail. You can tell she is a nice person out of class, but heavens, she can't teach for her life. A lot of time, I learned on my own. The final average was about 54 percent. If you struggle with math, I highly suggest you find another professor.

Seems passionate about what she does, but approach seems ineffective. Will teach you one thing then ask dramatically different questions on exams. Very difficult to do well in her class. If you do well, you earned it!

The worst class ever! Everyday she began her lecture by talking about the her adopted teenager son and her feeling. I feel sorry for both of them but hey, I don't need to know her story; I am here to learn Math. Moreover, I don't think she can teach higher level math classes because she made a lot of mistakes and it was confusing.

She makes you sit in groups of 4 in class to discuss any math problem. Its horrible because she doesn't engage any lectures to be clear for the class, she teaches assuming we understand what's being taught to us. She is unorganized. She is clearly a goofball and messes up a lot. Her teeth are horrendous and she's always wearing the same pants..

Really enjoyed the class. Good teacher, lets you retake tests, and really understands the math she's teaching. Highly recommend for those who struggle with math and those who are exceptionally gifted in the field.

She's nice but doesn't know how to connect with students. She was never able to answer the question directly, she confused us more by going in a circle. Sometimes I wonder if she really knows what she is talking about. She thinks that by not using any textbook saves students money, but it's a waste of time, cuz of her disorganized lectures. Avoid!

Lectures are LONG, goes on tangents. Prepare to readstudygo to tutoring for her class. Picky grader. Lets you retake quizzes and tests. Didn't learn much during class time, though. She's nice and friendly but I wouldn't wish her on anyone

Sue is a great teacher. She doesn't always teach in the order that the book goes but I think that helps you understand the concept she is teaching and why you're learning it. She really makes sure you learn something and not just memorize it. I'm glad I had Calculus with her.
