If you are decent at math, you will love ALEKS and her class. You pretty much have to teach yourself through ALEKS. She only gives you four exams and aleks (20% of grade) for final grade. You will have practice tests. I recommend doing aleks every single day, even out of class and make sure to understand factoring fully.

Mrs. Gifford is the best professor I have had. She checks homework everyday for points. Has study guides for quizzes and tests. She is always ready to help. Very funny women.

Mrs. Gifford is a great Math teacher! If you talk during her class though, she will yell at you. It's hard for her to hear, so just make sure you talk loudly enough. She is williing to stay after class to help any student with questions. Highly Recommend!!

Best Math professor at Ferris. yes, she is hard of hearing but talk loud and there won't be a problem. She's funny without meaning to be but is able to laugh at herself. Math is my hardest subject but she's always willing to give students extra help. Highly recommended.

Ms. G is the most awesome teacher. She breaks down the problems and will go over something until you get it. Homework is graded and attendance is required. She has a good personality and is willing to help in any way. Take her if you can, good teacher!

You are going to read a few reviews on here claiming Mrs. Gifford is less than the ideal professor. I'm here to say that these are lazy people who don't want to learn. People like myself are absolutely terrible mathematicians, and Mrs. Gifford makes it her business to see you succeed. She has some trouble hearing, but her humor makes up for it.

She is such a sweetheart and she really wants you to understand the material that she teaches. Attendance IS mandatory! If you have perfect attendance then you don't have to take her final exam. Come into class with a good attitude, ready to take notes EVERYDAY and participate. I Highly Recommend Her.

I loved her.. She is really nice and will do whatever she can to make sure you get a good grade.. I failed math 110 freshmen year and i got a B in her class. She is willing to do a lot of one on one work. I recomend her if you have problems with math!

I Really enjoyed this class. She made the class interesting and liked to make jokes. She does have a hearing problem so you have to speak up. she gives quizzes every thursday but they are not hard. Also you are not required to take the final if you have 3 or less absences. I had a great time in her class.

she was probably the dumbest teacher i have ever had. she cant hear anything. and is terrible at explaining things. i missed a class because i had a concussion,and i bring her my doctors note and the class i missed we had a test a she wouldnt let me re-take it.
