Loved her! She is so nice and is willing to help or just chat! She had five papers we wrote inclass that were unannounced but they were each worth 2% of your grade so not a huge grade changer if you skipped those days. Also, her quizzes are basically the same as the exams. I would just memorize the quiz answers and never got below 90 on the exams.

Dr. Brewer is a very knowledgeable and helpful professor. This particular class covers a lot of material, but she presents it in a very clear and detailed manner. It's a somewhat difficult class, but Brewer is very willing to give extra help if you need it. Lectures are long and sometimes not very lively, but overall great class!

Prof. Brewer may have all the mannerisms of a primary school teacher, but she is extremely knowledgeable about the history of U.S. foreign relations. She has a sense of humor in lecture, but can also have an air of strictness about her. I had a 200-level course with her that was very easy, and a 300-level course that was quite a bit harder.

Dr. Brewer is a very nice professor. Even for a history major I thought the class was boring. Very easy class it was basically my sophomore us history class in high school for anybody needing a GDR for history I recommend her.

Super sweet lady, but incredibly boring class. There is a lot of material covered, but she teaches it amazingly well. She thinks she is funnier than she really is, and the lecture is long and extremely easy to doze off in. The two novels read are very good! Exam questions are word for word from weekly quizzes, so study them!

The lectures get boring, however she is very knowledgeable and does her best to make it seem interesting. The in-class essays she grades a bit tough, the online weekly quizzes are very easy, and the tests are alright. Just study a bit. She's okay, just a bit boring, but very very nice.

Prof Brewer is GREAT & covers ALL aspects of history-sports, music, trends, clothing, presidents, events, EVERYTHING. I appreciated that she covered this broad realm, rather than strictly focusing on the politics. Lecture goes by quick, but attendance is taken. Easy weekly online quizzes, 2 in class essays, only 3 multiple choice tests.

Pretty interesting class. I haven't seen worksheets in a while, but although they were boring, the chapters required were interesting and the information good. They're also pass/fail. The essay exams aren't hard, but it seems she grades tough. The 12-page research paper really sucks combined with other class papers. Do an exhibit! Good teacher.

Good teacher but lectures get boring. The online quizzes are pretty easy but you have to read the chapter for it. Read two books that are pretty good. The test are pretty easy as long as you review the online quizzes because they are most likely on the test.

She is by far one of my favorite professors in my four years at UWSP. She is very knowlegable and caring. You have a study quiz every week that is based of the chapters in the book and you get two trys. You read two semi-interesting books and write an essay on each. Her tests are almost identical to the studey quizzes! I wish I could take her again

Susan Brewer is a great person and great professor. She knows everything about history and explains it crystal clear. She is very helpful and the class is really easy if you try. Wish I could take more classes with her besides GDR's! Definitely one of the best you can get.

She has quizzes for each chapter and they are online. And you get 2 attempts at the quiz. Two books are read for the first two exam essay portions. The exams are like the quizzes, so study the quizzes. A paper is your final essay and that is done weeks before finals. For the essays and paper, she is a hard grader. Quizzes and exams are good.

Currently in HIST 212. Overall, she seems decent. She clearly likes this topic and is interested in sharing her views on it. HOWEVER, her views are more to the social democrat side of things. She seems condemn America, while acting like no other party is equally at fault for some of the problems in the world today.

She's my hero. Knows everything off the top of her head. Doesn't seem to need notes. Clearly cares about the subject, which makes students care more. Grading can be harsher than some, but she makes it clear what she wants and expects, and if you get less than an A she makes it clear why, which makes it easy to stomach.
