Lecture slides have lots of information but she goes past them pretty fast, while not necessarily talking about what's on the slide. Posts lecture notes after class. Recommend just listen to when she's talking and get involved in discussions. Check modules on canvas often for readings and tutorials, and read ahead on the week's activities.

She knows her stuff, and is very passionate about it. Because of that, I found her lectures interesting - though she does talk a lot. My TA wasn't so great, so I had to rely on Susan for all of my critiques.

Rather boring prof. During the lectures she puts up slides and turns off ALL the lights (makes me doze off...). I went to her office hours once it was quite helpful. The TA matters, avoid the prof as the TA when taking the labs.

BOOORING lecture and you she talk very very fast specially if ur English is not a first language it's hard to understand.. Hard marker even tho it's up to the TA but if ur not lucky she will be ru TA and give you low mark if she does not like ur project.. interesting course but recommend taking it with other prof if there is any!

Susan acts like she doesn't care about presenting the material to her lectures. I heard she was a hard grader, but it's all up to the TAs to make decisions. She is nice if you ask intelligent questions after class, but the lectures are boring as hell. Some of the examples she shows are worth the time to attend though. You need the notes for quizzes

All she would do during class was show us examples of things that students weren't capable of doing in an introductory class. Your better off listening to what your TA wants because what she wants is too abstract and complicated. She's a nice person when you visit her during office hours and don't talk about IAT.

Boring lectures.. she's got an amazing talent of talking non-stop. I wish she would take a pause during lectures and getting students involved. Overall this class is pretty easy if you're a bit familier with photoshop, flash etc. Your grade for this course depends on TAs not the prof.. so make sure to choose TAs wisely.

Susan was a great teacher. She was really interested in know what was behind the art. If your sole goal was to recreate a piece of art or make something that was cool, she will call you on your****. Just try to be original aka yourself.

Excellent professor! well informed about digital film editing, as well as film techniques in general, helpful in the extreme, an easy-but-fair marker, interesting to talk to and generally a nice human being :)

Susan speaks clearly, but when it comes to understanding the criteria of a given assignement they are typically vague, and sometimes I wonder if she even uses those criteria when grading assignements. That being said, I get the feeling that if you do the work you pass the class. There's no failing this class, if taught by her.

True, long lectures, but I was always very impressed by her ability to talk so much about any given subject, intelligibly. She really enjoyed her class and was very helpful to anyone who stayed awake in her lectures. The TAs were nowhere close to as helpfull as she was. Glad I had her compared to what i heard of other art profs for TECH100-101.

someone has to stick up for her. She was a TA back when I went there (yaay TechBC got shut down on me). Great personality, twisted sense of humor, and truly an inspired artist. If you called her marking scheme random you don't know what true art is, and maybe you should become an accountant instead. The lectures were kinda bad sometimes, I admit ;)

Speaks impenetrable Artese, and an unpleasant lecture, but if you talk to her she is very helpful and nice. Random Mark Generator, (art's like that). Her TA is the spawn of hell itself, teaching technical concepts and trying to pick apart your posts in bad engrish. TA, tho, has no real power.
