Comment:

Crits sometimes take up half of the class and its mostly just her talking. Its difficult to pay attention when she's speaking, leaving the entire class falling asleep. She mainly had us drawing transparent cylinders and cubes. Wish she had better assignments and wasn't so BORING!!

One of my friends described this class as "the science of drawing," and I think that hits the mark. Susan shows you how to refine your technical drawing skills, and if you put forth the time you can improve your ability immensely. Don't expect an easy A or even B in this class, but then again you probably know that, this is a studio ;D

Susan D'Amato is one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. I loved to draw before and left her class feeling more confident and what I was doing. I didn't know there was so much to know about drawing until this class. Susan is a little strict with things.. but she just wants you to learn.. and you will if you care.

Susan is an amazingly good teacher. Figure drawing is more fun than her foundation class, but she's very helpful in both. She expects a lot of output, don't take her class to glide by, take it to improve your draftsmanship.
