We were doing ENABLE MATH. I recommend it. Most of your HW is done in class and on the computer. She knows the program, but it can be frustrating. She is fast and sketchy, but I've taken the class 50 million times so I knew most of the matieral. Study, memorize, and get a group together.

Comment:

She's extremely difficult especially if you like myself are HORRIBLE at math. She discourages questions by making you feel stupid if you're even brave enough to ask one. The text book is co written by her and is no help if you don't understand in class lectures. Good luck if you take her.

I took the hybrid class and math is not my subject, so naturally, I did not do so well. She helped me so much, but that was not enough to overcome the whole online thing.. I did not pass the class and I wanted to retake it with her becuase I had also taken MATH 114 with her and she helped be so much, but she actually left and now only tutors.

She comes off pretty blunt at first, I personally crashed with her twice.. but in the end we got along fine.. she is most definitely willing to help.. Don't be intimidated by her sarcasm.. she really is nice in the end. She really is her own person.. she tends to say "No, really.." for eeeeeverything... she encourages everyone and expects the best.

Don't take her if you are not good at math!!!Calculator must be used in her class!The lab projects are the ones I got trouble in.Other things are fine,quizes and exams are not so tough.If you do well in the final,she will use your final score to replace one of your lowest score exam.However,Not an easy professor.Good luck if you take her class.

Susan is not exactly mean, she's intimidating and has a strong personality. She is the best math teacher I've had- and I hate math. She explains things very well. Do the homeweork or at least go over the problems she does in class.

SHE IS AN UNPLEASANT WOMAN! She is very unapproachable and is very angry when you ask her questions. Her tests are VERY hard and are not like the practice exams at all. The only means to do well in that class is to do VERY well on the labs and the projects. The class is extremely hard and in the end not worthwhile. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND HER AT ALL!!

You have to dedicate time to stats. You have to read the chapters before going to class or you will not do so well. 3 exams, quizes, labs, and 2 projects. Drops lowest quiz score. Do not have to turn hw in. She explains everything really well. Not the most approachable teacher but she is helpful. You have to study or you wont pass. I recommend her

This woman is rude & arrogant. Her website is as scatterbrained as her teaching. She doesn't provide examples to problems nor does she go over homework, but would rather you go to her website so that it could do the teaching for her. She's irritated by students who ask for help, even telling one to, "Read the book over and over until you get it."

susan totally rocks! i'm totally not a "math person" but i actually liked her class a lot. Do the hw and go thru the website for chapter topics-totally helps. I didn't fall asleep at all, and i usually snooze thru all my classes. Very good at explaining and WANTS you to suceed. Always makes time to help you out!ROCK ON, Susan!

I loved her! She was so helpful and nice. She had her mean moments but over all she is very involved and around for help. She really knows her math, she even wrote the book you use. I would highly recomend her especially if math isn't your biggest interest or strong point. She can really help you and wants all of her students to pass!

Ms. Dean was very rude and extremely unhelpful, and very tough with grading. Her website is misleading and totally unclear. She never misses an opportunity to give a tongue-lashing to any one of her students. She obviously doesn't understand that math is HER life, not ours. I do not recommend her whatsoever.

She is awesome. Very sharp, sometimes sharp tongued as well, but if you've got any insecurities about taking math, stick with her. She is very caring, efficient, and knows what she's doing. The best math teacher i've ever had.

I don't recommend this class as online... very confusing and hard to follow. The instructions online are clear, but don't go over everything. Quizzes are different than the homework assignments, therefore, can be confusing. The textbook does not help because it looks more like a workbook. Not enough instructions to work with.
