A great professor, but her standards are insane. Example, she asks 'short description of Brutus' I wrote "A roman senator who was friends with Caesar, although ultimately betrays him and helps kill him in the end" But she wanted much much more than that, a paragraph more. This was the case for every question. She starts class EARLY.

We had to read around 5 books for class and she insisted we all be in the room early and begin class early. She often ranted about things although on topic but never made complete sense. She was boring and had no sense of humor. Never ever take this professor.

Professor Douglass knows her stuff, problem is she speaks way too fast! PowerPoints and lectures are so unorganized. She crams 3 days of lecture in 1 class. Writing papers? More like novels. Too much work for a short period of time. You raise your hand to ask a question and she will tell you to wait. Exams are impossible! Do not take her95!

-Assigns heavy workload, mostly in the form of papers which require the reading of entire books to complete up to her standards. -Dumped intensive papers on us near the end of the semester when you already have many for other classes. -Workload was roughly double that of other classes during my semester. -Terrible PowerPoints and unclear lectures.

Speaks a mile a minute and expects a lot for a first year seminar. I love history so it wasn't an awful class for me, but for other students who were not interested in the topics it was a struggle. Lots of stress, but I learned a lot.

Best way to put it is she's a bad teacher. She starts class at least 10 minutes early, and ends 5 minutes late. There's "Do Now" type questions on the board and it's elementary. She's overwhelming with the amount of reading she gives. Her notes are at least 4 pagesday. When grading, she looks for every specific detail. Take her if you want stress.

This class is very overwhelming but it gets easier as you figure out what she wants. Lectures are extremely overwhelming as she usually talks too fast. There are 2 major papers, some quizzes, a midterm, and a final that covers the material after the midterm. The material is very boring but overall the class was just okay

she gives an unnecessary amount of work for a freshman seminar class, take this class if you want to take a lot of notes that are just repetitive of each other

Professor Douglass is a very sweet woman, and she really cars about her students. the problem is, she tries to cram 3 classes worth of information into each class. in addition, she goes off on random tangents every 5 minutes that throw you off track. i would say be wary of taking her, and be prepared for a frustrating but rewarding class.

One word. Scatterbrain. I love professor Douglass, and she really knows her stuff, but she can be hard to follow at times. If you have her class, make sure you bring a laptop so to can keep up with her

She's not a terrible, but I found that the class was difficult because you don't have a textbook. She makes you buy 3 novels and write papers on them which sucks, and her midterm and final require 2 and then 3 essays which is next to impossible. DON'T miss her class is you don't want to miss like 300 years of history you'll have to make up later

Pretty good teacher overall. She is very informational but packs on a lot of info every class. She is punctual and starts class earlier than the time and ends the exact time it ends. She gives a lot of extra credit to do which is helpful. The midterms and finals are so much writing and describing.

Extremely difficult but rewarding; gives tons of notes and is hard on papers, lectures start and end after the allotted class time. You learn a lot but it takes up so much of your time to do her work. Not really any tests or quizzes, but the midterm and final are extremely writing heavy.

this lady gives me high blood pressure. she talks a million miles an hour, takes up every second of class time, and uses an overhead projector. she likes to talk.. a lot and won't listen to what you have to say. she?s a nice person and not rude, but i can?t stand being around her for too long. make sure you don?t take an 830 with her.

She talks so fast that she never takes a breath. Literally 6 pages of notes per class, but they're confusing and unorganized. Starts lecture before class starts and keeps you until after it ends. Rips apart your papers. I loved the topic and she knows so much about it, but it's impossible to enjoy the class when it gives you a headache.

If you have her do yourself a favor and get out as fast as you can. She is a headache that you don't need. I take at least 4 pages of notes a day because she talks so fast. She is so scattered because she doesn't even take time to breathe or think about what she is saying. I try really hard in that class and I can't earn anything I want!
