Dr. Gooden was one of the best professors I have had! Yes her class was easy but there is assignment and big projects in her class. If you read the book and listen in class you will learn a lot about what you can use in your future classroom. If you can take her for a semester, DO IT! You will have a lot of fun in class and learn a lot!

Dr. Gooden is one of my favorite professors. You can tell she's really enthusiastic about the subject she's teaching. She gave great teaching suggestions and was always willing to help when I asked for it. I learned a lot and gained useful experience in this course.

I took her online in the summer and the class was a piece of cake... A few discussion boards every week and two papers and a journal was all we had to do. Got a 98% A in the course!

The "hardest" part of this class was keeping up with the journal entries. There would be one or two due every class, and you never knew when she would collect them--don't get behind! There was only one 12-point quiz, the rest of the points came from journals and projects. She's funny and makes the class interesting. I would recommend her.

Do not take this class with her. Tons of busy work that seems more elementary based than secondary. Not very approachable and have learned very little in this course.

I had the class in the Spring of 2003. She expects a lot, but she knows what she is talking about. She went through a tough time while I was student teaching. Her granddaughter was killed...so give her a break. She was one of my favorite teachers at USI!

Nice lady, but loads of busy-work. We worked on a lot of things, but after it was all over, I can say I really learned much--certainly not any more than any other class. Could have done more teaching and less of the time absorbing efforts in class.
