She is the worst teacher I've ever had at York College. She's absolutely useless. Her papers are meant for art students; don't take this class as an elective it's so tedious and boring! I regret taking this class, because not only is it difficult, but she makes no effort to help you. I even went to the LRC for a paper and still got a 54!

I've had Dr. McCarter for four courses now and I can honestly say I've learned the most from her than any other professor at York College. The classes are not hard at all so long as you pay attention. In fact I got a 4 without ever taking notes in any of her classes. Check out Intro to Archaeology too, which she also teaches. Fun class.

This professor is very knowledgable in her field and she lectures what will be on tests. There are 3 tests and which are all essay and no final exam. There are 3 papers to write which are very long and hard to write. But overall this professor is helpful, insightful and it's one of the best classes and best professors I ever took at York College.

Talks fast. She is serious about her material and can get snippy if you don't take it seriuosly as well. Tests all essay, just listen to what she wants-on tests and on papers. Then it's easy. My first 4! It's amazing the knowledge this woman has obtained over the years. Has many contacts in the art world.

This was my second semester with her and I didn't even need her classes! She is an amzing teacher with a lot of knowledge that she wants to communicate. Test are easy - papers are a little long but easy and there are only three or four. Always responds promptly to email and is willing to help.

This prof. is terrible. She is arrogant, she thinks she is like the paper god, and her class is so boring. Her papers are way too long, and she is an extremley hard grader. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! You owe it to yourself!
