Comment:

Religious studies seemed to be a boring class but Dr. Nowak actually makes it bearable. It's a lot of reading 3-5 paged out of the small book (most of the pages are just pictures) and then doing group work in class. She's very caring and wants to pass you not harm your grade. Would 100% take her class all over again.

Dr. Nowak is a good lecturer. She is a little tough on the grading for a 101 course but it is not that bad. A good choice if you do not mind a little work outside of class. I did not rent the book and did fine.

She is a very very sweet lady for sure, but she is not very organized, and rips your essays apart. It is very strange since the tests were so easy. She does work with students the best she can, and moved back many due dates because we were far behind. Class is usually goes by slowly. Don't bother reading the syllabus because we did not follow it.

she is a great teacher. she makes learning so fun. If you aren't religious you will learn a lot; she makes you think a lot and loves making every student feel welcome to answer and doesn't put extra pressure on you like most professors do. would highly recommend.

She made it really fun and relatable. You do need to attend outside events to write some papers but all of the hw was super simple. She's only an FYS teacher so try to get her! There is no tests or quizzes. The final exam is a group discussion and the midterm is a paper. There is a presentation you need to create since it is an FYS course (rubric)

Dr. Nowak is an expert in religion, but she let's you decide what your beliefs are. She makes the class extremely interesting, and she shows her love for the material and the students. However, she is a bit tough when it comes to grading papers.

Comment:

She is one of the nicest professors I've at Nazareth College. She doesn't try to brainwash you with religion and her class is mostly discussions with about 5 writing assignments. She can drag on with some topics but make others fairly interesting. If you make an effort in class discussion and do a few readings the class will be a breeze.

Dr. Nowak is a really good teacher! She knows her stuff and really gets a conversation/debate going everyday in her class. Not too much homework. Only two papers and frequent short sections to read in our small textbook. She's very approachable and nice. Take her class!

Great teacher. Not only very enthusiastic about what she does but she's nice and knows a lot about what she teaches. Not to mention she also has a great sense of morality-a safe person to go to. There's also no brainwashing you into -insert religion here- Take her classes, she's awesome.

Sister Susan was probably the farthest from the stereotypical nun you could get. She is a wonderful person and will remember you and go out of her way to make sure you know your own potential. Very nice lady, very interested and invested in her students and the course material. Great integrated program with Ganondagan this year

She is absolutely wonderful. She is extremely helpful and really cares about the students and the topics. She is a Roman Catholic Nun, and you would never know it. She teaches all religions without bias. She does not try to convert anyone to anything, so I do not understand the comment below mine.
