Comment:
Ms. Osborne is a great person, but an average teacher. Her teaching style is outdated, as she uses an overhead projector and never makes power points. She has many difficulties with technology. However, she is very kind and gives great responses when asked questions. She may say some off the wall things, but that's just who she is.

all I can say is she tries her best. she's technologically challenged, goes off on random discussions, and isn't the best with names. your grade is based on 3 tests, 1 paper, and the final. she does offer extra credit though and 2 of our 3 tests were take home.

Dr. Osborne is a really interesting lady to say the nicest. She loves to go off on these random stories in class that typically do not pertain at all to anything anthropology-related. Her tests ask VERY specific questions, especially about the Yanomamo. I do not feel as if I have learned anything more about anthropology than I already knew.

Dr. Osborne is kinda weird, but is passionate about Anthropology. She talks the whole time unless a film is shown. She is very technologically challenged! She doesn't remember people's names, but still seems like a nice lady.

Mrs. Osborne is an okay teacher. She does care what her students think and she is always looking to make them comfortable. She is very computer illiterate so most of class she fumbles with figuring out the computer/projector. She does VERY heavy lectures. I do not recommend taking her class as an 8am it has been awful.

Professor Osborne seems extremely passionate about anthropology, but she's not a great professor. Her lectures are boring (never take as an 8 am!), her notes are disorganized, and her tests are HARD (this coming from an honor student.) The perks are that most of her tests are take home and she gives a ton of extra credit opportunity.

Great teacher but not very organized. Failed the first test and still finished with an A. Go to class and you will pass. Lots of extra credit opportunities.

This class wasn't that hard. She kind of makes it boring sometimes, and I she has weird habits that she does so that's a little annoying. Most tests are take home, but the in class one was pretty hard, but if you read you'll pass. I've fallen asleep multiple times but she does give plenty of extra credit opportunities!

She is nice and funny but her stuff is so out dated! She reads from the book. It is an easy class though. There are take home tests and movies a lot. Getting an A is easy!

Professor Osborne is a really nice lady who loves anthropology. She gives 3 tests during the semester and two are take home. Only one paper and its about your choice of movie, and lots of extra credit opportunities.

Mrs. Osborne is great. This was my first anthropology class and I loved it. I am a history major and history can be tedious and depressing. Her class was really interesting. In other classes the professors are so serious, but Mrs. Osborne has a quirky sense of humor that I admire. She is always willing to help and is fair with her grading.

Nice lady. Very enthusiastic, but kind of weird. She does this thing with her tongue when she talks... The tests aren't TOO bad, but it really is a lot of material to remember. Study, study!

Overall class was pretty cool. She is a huge stickler for attendance. Be Careful. Tests were half multiple choice one essays. Make sure to take notes. She will put stuff on the overhead but more important test questions come from what she is saying that is not up on the overhead. Yanomamo book will have maybe 10 questions on each test don't stress.

Very disorganized professor. Handouts and notes are all over the place. You HAVE to read the book if you want to pass. She is anything but helpful when it comes to tests. Three tests and a paper are the only grades. She does offer extra credit (prob because everyone is going to need it).

She is a great teacher. Attendance isnt mandatory but if you go to all of your classes you get extra credit. shes really nice and is willing to repeat herself if you missed something you said. as long as you show up and take notes and at least skim the chapters you will pass the class with an A. most tests are based on notes in class.

you either get her or you don't. Her lectures were confusing and her tests were some of the most confusing I've ever taken in my whole school career. Not helpful at all during office hours, I Emailed her about something important and I asked her a few days later and told me she had read but didn't want to respond. Avoid if possible.

She gives a great deal of extra credit that is added onto final grade, but her lectures are all over the place, and her tests are pretty difficult even though she sends study guides. Very passionate about subject, but doesn't know how to effectively teach it.

Honesty, she was horrible. She was not very helpful even during office hours. She spoke at an alarming rate and she has a weird habit of sticking her tongue out of her mouth as she talks.

Comment:
Notes are scattered, no outline of class given, no defined direction during lectures, she's all over the place, speaks way too fast, annoyed when asked to repeat. Acts like you weren't paying attention if you don't know answers. Might be a good teacher for anthropology majors, but for elective hours, not so much.
