Really nice, very clear speaker, not a lot of homework (but expects you to speak at least once in class discussion), gives a lot of prompt choices for the final paper. She's so wonderful and helpful and is very attentive to her students.

Ms. Schulten is a wonderful teacher, she made class very interesting and easy to participate in. However, she is a really tough essay grader, and refused to meet with students in my class to review their final papers. I ended up with a decent grade in the class, but it was frustrating to me and others in the class. So good, but a ridiculous grader.

Schulten chose some of the best readings I'd encountered as an undergraduate. We always had great class discussions. Plus, if Schulten were a president, she'd be Babraham Lincoln.

I love Schulten! She's an amazing professor, with a lot of passion for history. Her lectures are not boring at all, and I highly recommend taking one of her classes. Readings can be kind of intense at times, but she does an incredible job breaking them down during discussion.

Professor Schulten is fantastic. She will make you work hard and learn your stuff, but you will be a better writer and a better student after taking her class. She is helpful and understanding. If you have a creative idea for a paper, or just want to process more, she is open to discussion and great for processing ideas. You have to take this prof!

Shculten is a sweetheart. She really cares about her students and their learning. She does a lot of lecturing, but she really knows her stuff. So her lectures are jammed with lots of information. There's a lot of writing for her classes, but she always has time to help students. She is one of my favorite teachers in the history department.
