Many people don't like her style of teaching, which requires you to actually do some work. SURPRISE! The class can be boring, but I think she does a pretty good job of explaining the material... especially if you ask for help!

As a teacher, she doesn't teach well, but luckily it was Spanish 101 so it's easy enough to the homework (easy) and memorize the verbs/vocab for quizzes and such. Not many surprises....she's pretty straight-forward. But don't expect her to explain things in class a lot! Learn on your own!

Do the work and it's an easy A; great refresher course for those who've already taken Spanish. The amount of work actually forces you to try to think in Spanish and those who care are the better for it. She's pretty understanding of student problems too - at least I found.

I looked her up before entering her class and did everything I could to avoid her but failed and thus took her joke of a class. Homework is unhelpful and she is quite generous with it.

Profesora Robertson is pretty easy but she gives out so much useless busy work. If you can handle the workload, then the class will not be very hard. Her tests are pretty easy as long as you brush up with your verbs and vocab the night before.

I enjoyed her class. Sometimes it was boring but you're in college and you're paying all that money so might as well go to class. It was all review for me so I could see where her teaching was confusing. She was never rude to me because I was on her good side which wasn't hard to get on. Lots of work but it was a painless A.

robertson is difficult to figure out. she appears kind, but question her authority and she becomes an exacting loom. one could skip class the entire semester and still get the same grade. class exercises are boring and homework is tedious and unhelpful. creativity is discouraged.

Not Nice. Extremely rude to particular students. Work is fairly easy but she doesn't actually do much teaching, just rambling in Spanish that's especially difficult for less experienced speakers to understand. I find myself wathcing the clock every day of this class.

Nice person, terrible teacher. never took spanish before and was stuck with her for 2 semesters, if i had to choose again would do anything not to take her. not too difficult a grader, particularly if you have taken her before and do the homework, but not worth taking. classes are boring and confusing, and i feel i have learned nothing in a year

Extremely disrespectful. She talked OVER me while I was giving an oral presentation to the class. She also didn't seem to have a real passion or interest in the subject she was teaching. Overall, she's a very disappointing professor.

I felt like I was in 7th grade. I've taken years of Spanish, but placed into 102 and the whole class was review for me. However, I was with kids who had only had 1 semester of Spanish. If I were in their place I would have been extremely lost. Rarely speaks Spanish in class and very unapproachable. Easy A if you do the homework.

A great prof, always energetic and engaging even at 8:30 in the morning! She always had relevant cultural examples that tied in with the coursework and she was always supportive and understanding of us students. She made learning Spanish enjoyable (although challening at times) for those of us who have difficulties learning languages! She gets an A+!

I found myself constantly frusterated with her because she mostly spoke English....in Spanish class. Where we are supposed to be learning...Spanish. She seems to think she's teaching junior high students, assumes that everyone is there by force. But I was there because I'm genuinely interested.

Her lectures are helpful, the topics discussed in class directly correlated with the quizzes (which were not bad), and she made the subject interesting. There is busy work involved but it does help! (She doesn't like Bush)

Professor Robertson is the most horrible professor that I've ever had. I was a beginning spanish student and I knew more about spanish than she did. She always spoke spanglish and would make up her own words. I wouldn't wish that kind of torture on my worst enemy! Do not take her class!

Doesn't have her act together, the class is totally boring, the labs suck (too much busy work), weird personality (and not in a good way!) quizzes/tests are pretty easy, but overall try to avoid her at all costs!
