Dr. Lundquist loves Jungian theory, which is fascinating. As long as you show a genuine interest in the subject she teaches, and you attend all the lectures and write mediocre papers, you'll get an A.

I love Suzanne. She isn't super organized or formulaic, but if you go to her class, you will learn a lot. I love her laid back style. She is happy and helpful.

I took Literature and Film from her and it was a life-changing class. If you're willing to follow her emphasis on Jung and how messed up romantic and intimate relationships have become and how it is portrayed in film, you'll love it. If you're looking for more of the technical aspects of the subejct, try someone else. But this was fascinating!

Ughhh. I took her senior seminar, Jung and Pop culture, and at first I was wowed by all the cool Jung stuff I was learning. But then I realized that Jung is just her hobby horse and I wasn't getting any academic value from the class. Super sweet lady, but a DISORGANIZED, unrewarding class. Not for the aspiring academic type of Eng major.

I'm confused other comments appearing on this page. I learned more in one of Dr. Lundquist's classes than I did in a whole semester of other professors classes. I think the problem is this: if you are more literary journal/academic-minded than creative minded, you will not enjoy this class. You DO have to have an open mind!

Super confusing. In love with Twilight. We had to write a research paper on it. Hard to understand. I never paid attention to class, she bored me to death.

Professor Lundquist may not have taught the most clear material, but I learned so much from her. She's really passionate about what she teaches and most of classwork is in-class discussion. The papers were tricky but Professor Lundquist was more than happy to give me pointers. She was fair in her grading and gave us all pie on the last day. :)

Dr. L is not clear in her teaching or what she wants in regards to her assigments. She jumps right into her lecture with explaining what she is talking about. She is a nice lady but doesn't respect her students. Try to get another professor!!!

I have taken two classes from her, and she annoyed me thoroughly both times. Here is her philosophy: "I am incredibly open-minded. So, if you disagree with me, that just shows that you are NOT open-minded. And, if you're not open-minded, your opinion means nothing." She likes to bring in politics even when it has nothing to do with the subject.

Prof. Lundquist's class was pretty disorganized. The readings were somewhat interesting but as far as my grade went I felt in the dark. Lectures varied between boring and enlightening. I didn't feel like I improved in my writing.

She is the best professor I have ever had. While I struggled with the concepts at first, she began to make me recognize what she was teaching everywhere. Plus the assignments were very fair and interesting. I would recommend taking this class from anyone because she will completely change your outlook for the better. She is absolutely brilliant.

I felt that this class could have been much more productive and fun than it was. I did not sign up for a class on the correct kind of romance, I signed up for a class about how literature and film work together. I felt that her lectures were extremely boring and that I got little benefit from the class.

Nice lady. Knows ALOT about Literary critics. Much of the class is discussion, so be prepared to talk, or sit and feel stupid. I learned alot, but it was extremely challenging. She's very helpful if you are struggling. Read the material!! She's ambiguous about what she is looking for in your paper, and she's meticulous about MLA formatting.

Dr. Lundquist is very interested in education for your personal development. She is pretty laid back, if you turn things in late she is merciful. Not too many take-home assign. Reading, yes, but not the textbook kind - interesting novels. I liked the class. I will say that she is not very good at leading class discussions, she stumbles there.

I had a hard time understanding the curriculum, but that's not the teacher's fault. She's pretty forgiving homework wise, and she's an easy grader on the essays. It was a pretty good class.

It was an ok class. I fell behind and still did fine. If you don't like tests this is your class. Easy response paper after each book, 8 page term paper and you're done. You will do well on the papers if you take one of the ideas she is fond of about the literature and expound with evidences from the book and your own personal insights.

She is an amazing professor. She presents quite a bit of information for students to internalize and allows them to express their opinions. Take the information to heart and support your ideas with well thought out arguments and you will get an A.
