the QUEEN of all dance. she is absolutely the sweetest woman of all time, and uses a lot of positive reinforcement to encourage her students to keep working. 10/10 would recommend this class and getting to know queen suze as a person.

I took this class as a beginner, just as the description said. No prior experience i had to work my butt off to even keep up in this class. Given i am not a dance major, I did not expect the level of competition and toughness of grading for an intro dance. Ended up with a C, and it destroyed my semester. Moral of the story, this is not beginner.

Basic jazz is simple and fun to learn if you have had prior training or if you are a dance natural. Overall, I like her and the class. The only problem I have is her grading papers. She is hypercritical and inaccurate about grading grammar, and that will drop one's GPA. I say this having 2 intensive writing majors, one which is NOT Dance.

I love suzanne, she is super fun and freindly. Fair grader. Textbook only used up until midterm. She uses many different styles of dance in class and alot of improv. Overall, great instuctor.

Suzanne is awsome! She is so much fun and has a great personality! She is also extremely talented and could pretty much out dance my entire class!! I don't think she grades that hard on critiques, just follow her guidelines and you will be fine! The class is fun but can be challenging physically! Still very much worth it! TAKE HER!!!

Is a bit of a tough grader, but it's well worth it. Tap is so much fun, and she's awesome. She's hilarious and personable and really makes the class fun! Tap is probably my favorite class I've ever taken at JMU- DEFINATELY recommend!

This class was really difficult, considering it was a beginner's course! A lot of dance majors take it and if you are not one or have not spent time tapping beforehand, you will probably have trouble keeping up. You have two practical tests and have to attend all of the dance shows in the semester and write about two of them.

Suzanne is absolutely AMAZING!!! even if you're not a dance major or minor and are just looking for a fun dance class to take, TAKE HER!! i felt like i was back at my old studio, but even more informal and relaxed. She's kinda a tough grader on papers and tests, but still a great teacher.

Suzanne is wonderful!! If you ever get the chance to take one of her classes you definitely should!! She tries to make you the best dancer you can be, is very personable, and is a very funny person. I love her!!
