I had her for the second half of GER100, and I struggled a lot. Ultimately, she went easy on me for marking and I passed with a C. She was good at explaining concepts, but has a more formal teaching style that gave the class a bit of whiplash from our previous professor's more relaxed style.

She's simply the best I've ever had. What's not to like about Ms. Schafer. She's the only bright spot in the German department, and I wish she taught all German classes. Always willing to help, and repeats things as often as the class wants her to. Her patience is unbelievable!
