Houston is truly one of the best at DU. His class is difficult for the "average" DU student but if your motivated its pretty easy. He was one of the best and will be missed by all of his students.

One of the best at DU. Smart, helpful, and pretty damn funny. Make sure to start the project early on and meet with him, because he is very helpful. Disregard the below comments about him being hard, because he's really not hard at all. Definitely take him for this class

You learn A LOT in this class. Totally get your money's worth. he is pretty conceded. get used to it. try not to let it bother you, for you can learn a lot from houston. this class is tough unless you try. don't expect it to be easy. he really wants his students to learn this.

Probably the most boring class to sit through, in my opinion. I found him difficult to work with (he is pretty stubborn) but he does offer lots of outside help for the projects. He is very particular about the way you write your project so make sure u meet with him EARLY on in the quarter. you have to work really hard in this class

He is very enthusiastic about teaching and genuinely wants his students to learn. But he has a tendancy to assume that we already know something when we don't have a clue. He also forgets to tell us important things at times. He will not remind you of upcoming tests or quizzes very often, so you have to constantly check the syllabus.

You must participate in class. Don't make him call on you, do it voluntairly. Sometimes he will read out of the book in class and rely too heavily on power points but otherwise good teaching style. The online quizes are tough, study hard! The midterm is cooperative so you get to work with other students. Group project is big, choose members wisely

Prof H is a great teacher, perhaps the best in Daniels. Very helpful and VERY knowledgable, and expects you to be the same. Enjoyed the class immensley!
