Prof. Bock is a wonderful teacher. I took both Eng 1 & 2 with her. Would take more classes with her if I needed them. If you like stuffy literature, don't take her. I really enjoyed her teaching and the unconventional topics.

She is wonderfully brillant. 4 essays and one research paper and final test. i got B's on all my essays but kicked butt on the research paper and got an A. she cares about quality of writing, giving the student the freedom to write about what they really care about. she's great. i wish they had given her English 2.

Her class is fun and liberating. No group work. One test and 4 essays. The focus of the class is on the quality of your writing and not the subject of your writing. She allows you the freedom to write about your own interests. Very helpful.

At first i found her a bit weird. Gives 4 papers including the research paper. You give her the first draft of the paper she tells you what she wants you to change. She gives you the higher grade at the end. I thought i was going to get a B but in the end she came threw and gave me an A. Take her!!

She's the best prof in the world. i used to hate english. but after i took her class i want to major in english. smc president should force all smc profs to learn her teaching style. get everyone involved and has good reading materials and lectures. but she's very tough on deadlines. my grade went down from A to B just because i missed a deadline.

Professor Bock's class is one of the best classes I have ever taken. If you do the assignemnts and listen to her feedback on your essays, you'll get a good grade. However, this class is not for slackers, you must do the work! She's funny and entertaining, but takes literature seriously.

Dr. Bock is quite exciting. She has a tendency to move too quickly through the material at hand, however, if you pay attention, you will learn a lot. She is very down to earth, but immensely knowledgeable/competent/excellent, but you MUST be highly involved in the class.
