I took the online version. This class has a completely unbearable workload. There are 25 assignments(!), 5 cases, a midterm, final, and 3 extra credits. You must spend 15-20 hours per week on this class. Examples were usually not similar enough to homework to be useful. Provided material was dense and uninteresting. It is a struggle to do the work.

She is really nice. Gave us open notes tests (didn't require us to buy a book). It's a hard class but she really simplifies it. Goes at an awesome pace too. Midterm, Final, 4 case studies. Very manageable work-load for a graduate class. Take Her!

Dr. Gornik is probably one of the nicest professor there is at St. Johns. She is knowledgeable and shows great enthusiasm in the subject matter. She cares about her students and truly wants them to learn. She is very fair and provides many opportunities for extra credit. If you put an effort into this class, you should have no problem getting an A!

She is an excellent teacher. She goes over every homework problem and gives extra credit to those who need it. Is willing to help during and after class. Very clear presentations and is willing to repeat anything you dont understand. Manages the class time very well. Exams were good.

you actually learn the material in a relaxed way. In the end, you come out knowing that you learned something. Excelent teaching style, has a in class problem discussion session, gives practice sets whihc reenforces the concepts, and gives study sheets.

Probably the best accounting prof around. Teaching style is outstanding, goes over the HW thoroughly and gets her lesson plan in, uses her time very well. Tests were actually pretty easy but that’s cause she makes the material manageable. This class is on a Saturday though so be prepared for that but it's worth it. Would take again in a heartbeat.

Needless to say, she is the best professor anyone can have. After I took her, I changed my major to accounting only to discover that most other accounting professors suck! Right now I am trying to take as many of her classes as possible and recommend the same to everyone.
