A waste of my time and money. I record my lectures for class every day,except for this one, I just stopped doing it. He rambles on about absolute nonsense for 90% of the class. When we asked him to give a basic rubric for the research paper, he failed to answer the question and gave us attitude about it. If you value class time, stay away.

Great teacher! He does a complete review before every test so you know exactly what will be on it. There are only 3 tests and he drops the lowest grade. If you take notes and show up to class you will get a good grade. Would definitely recommend!

Amer Lit was a lecture class and it did get a bit boring sometimes, but on the whole it was interesting, he will ans questions and likes participation attend class and you wont have to t ake final but can if it will help your grade. I would have liked feed back on the final but I would recommend him and am taking him for Lit 2

As long as you show up to class and take notes, you should do really well. There's no book, only 3 hour exams (drops the lowest) and if you have perfect attendance, no final. Always gives a solid review before exams, but his tests are open response so you have to know your stuff. I liked him so much, I'm taking him again for State & Local Gov.

state and local government and english comp 2. he WANTS YOU TO OPEN YOUR MIND IN CLASS. not the type of new age teacher that just sits and reads off powerpoint lol. you learn ALOT from this guy. he is also a vet; and talks about EVERYTHING lol. but ALWAYS finds a way to relate it to the class lol. had him for Amer Lit I + II. Take good notes. Some of the stuff he says seems unimportant at the time but might be on the test anyway. Only 3 tests, but he drops lowest 1. No final if perfect attendance. Final is short opinion-type take home essay, usually on 1 author of time period. Pick 1 of his faves for best grade. Interesting, smart, funny.

During Red Sox season if there is a game over the w/e don't expect him on Monday's. I had him for English and Philosphy back to back so I had two hours to kill when he cancelled class. I would recommend picking him for only one class as he repeats his stories frequently. Overall, he's a good professor, he's been there a long time!

This class is a joke. No book, no handouts, no homework, no outside reading. 3 exams, drop the lowest one. Perfect attendance = no final. If you're going to Massasoit, your interest in probably in getting the easy A, so feel free to waste a semester in this class. If you're like me, taking the class for the sake of learning, don't waste your time.

Easy "A" alert! However, I found the class completely boring. While he is clearly a smart guy, He often repeated the same information several times. But there was no book, no papers, and just 3 exams (lowest grade dropped). Furthermore, if you don't miss a class you don't have to take the final.

No book/hw. Stops taking it about half way through the semester. You're either going to love this guy or you're going to hate him. Personally I loved him. Class was interesting and he's a little wacky. Make sure you take good notes. Not everything he says seems important but it is. Repeats himself A LOT if you don't tell him.

Cancels class A LOT! Haven't done much work, easy on the homework. Have for Eng Comp 1 and we have used the book for homework pretty much every night (I saw a comment saying no book). He's impossible to reach when not in class, and doesn't want to hear any problems you have when you can grab him for a minute..Not my favorite teacher :( sorry guys!
