Her python class is well organized and pretty useful! She prepared handouts for students every class herself. She encouraged students to participate in the discussion and make statements actively. She was so energetic and good at explaining. A useful course for python beginners and an awesome professor for students!

Comment:

There are complains about hw, but for a CS course this is absolutely normal hw load. Expect several hours of programming per week. You learn a lot, the assignments are well thought out. Just do the hw a few days in advance and email her any questions. She is very helpful and provides great feedback. Tests are easy if you do and understand hw.

One thing about this Prof is she makes a lot of mistakes in her homework guidance, and she will not email the whole class about it or even correct it online. One more thing is, you will pay for her mistake by your own hw points.

Tough grader but very knowledgeable and easily accessible prof. She would expect you to be prepared for class and can go over topics real fast. very knowledgeable and doesn't hesitate to accept her errors if she has made any. Highly recommended!

I didn't find the class that hard, but it can be tough for those without a programming background. She's great at explaining things. She's lenient on exams. The homework can be difficult, but she's there to help. Be prepared to spend a few hours on it and get the basics down. You don't need the textbook.

This class in general is a hard class, especially when you have no background in Java. She is good at explaining and if you pay attention in class its easy to grasp concepts. Assingments are hard but she is always there to help if you. Exams aren't easy either but you'll leave the class with a better grade than you thought.

I found her absolutely fantastic. She knows what she's doing. I'm not American, so her teaching and grading style was really familiar to me as it is really similar to how I'm used to. She's not easy if you don't attend class or is not used to how detail-oriented this class is. Simply amazing. Would definitely take again and again and again.

Had her for Java and 350. Java (180) she's not that bad just because the book is really well written. Follow the book and if you get stuck ask her to look at your code and shell show you the error. 350 is h*ll. Book sucks and she can't teach at all. Its a teach yourself class. Come with previous knowledge and another prof who will help. cant teach.

She is the only hot professor in the CIS department. Not an easy grader, but an excellent professor, very clear, a lot of ready notes, excellent pp presentations, always available for help, assignments and exams are not easy, but consistent with what you learned in class. Very smart!

ppl complain..but i got 2.0s in all other CS classes..this is the easiest CS class i have taken..guaranteed 4.0..yes she gives an assignment every week, but go to class and pay attention, finish it days b4 is due, so that you can ask her questions, and shes cool about helping, just dont wait till last minute like most ppl do and u'll b fine

Good teacher but kind of a lot of work. The first semester is easy and logical while the second half is at least twice as hard. Homework is given every week that takes about 2 to 4 hours to do.. although it can be a lot longer if you aren't good at it or get stuck. Some people have trouble keeping up but they don't seem very computer oriented.

First half of semester is a breeze. However in the second half the topics become more complex and difficult to understand. I had no backgroud with java so in order to complete assignments I had to meet with her individually before class every week since classtime was not extremely helpful.
