Took travel studies with her, beyond amazing! Really cares for her students, brilliant and open-minded. One of the best professors I have taken in 4 years at WSU and will probably ever have throughout Graduate School!!!

Professor Berg genuinely cares about the well being of her students and it's clear she is passionate about each topic. There were lots of assigned readings but she mostly went over them the next class period. I highly recommend this class.

Comment:

Great professor. Class lectures can become repetitive and boring because she plays a lot of videos and repeats information, but over all interesting class. Don't bother buying the books, never used them. Had one midterm exam, a group project, and an essay. Would recommend!

I LOVE Professor Berg. She is extremely kind and she really cares about her students and wants you to pass. I got both books, but I didn't use them at all. There's one midterm and 2 papers & everything is weighted the same, including attendance so don't skip! Her lectures& you get points for attending. TAKE THIS CLASS!!

Just love Tamara Berg. She is the kind of professor you want to hang out with outside of class. She is so caring and understanding and an advocate for pretty much anyone. Please take her class! There's not a ton of work and it's helpful to be aware of the issues going on

Tamara is truly one of the best professors at WSU. Caring, compassionate and really cares about her students. Always accessible by email and responds quickly. Her lectures are interactive and interesting. The few tests we have are straight out of the book, so read the book and be an active participant and you'll pass.

She's nice,but I feel like when she's giving lecture she's just going through the motions. She reads directly off the slides, and it seems like she wouldn't know what to say if the words weren't right there. Had to take this class for my WAGS minor, but I would recommend Dr. Klinker's Intersection of Privilege and Power course.

Keeping up with the reading in this class is impossible. You have to dedicate about an hour per night. The material she goes over in class is not on the test and the test is the hardest one I have taken in college. Unless you are very passionate about women's studies and want to dedicate a lot of time to it, don't take this course.

Tamara is a gem. She is the kindest professor and she cares a lot about her students. Her lectures are never boring and she is very open minded. Class is very easy, just do the blog comments and show up. You don't talk about the readings in class much, but do the readings, because the that's what the midterm is based off of.

Easy A, just do the blogs and the comments on time. For the midterm, just expect to look through the book VERY THOROUGHLY. Other than that I only used the Listen Up book for the final paper. No tests. Lectures are super boring but you can't miss more than 4 without a grade drop, so make sure you keep up with TopHat.

This was hands down my favorite class the semester I took it! Super interesting class and easy for the most part if you do the blogs and go to class (which is where I went wrong). She's an awesome professor and you're guaranteed to learn a lot :)

Do not buy the books!!! They are not necessary at all. Her lectures are fabulous! I would suggest going not only because of how great they are but you also do Tophat for participation points. She truly cares about students in and outside of class. Have to do blog posts which are extremely easy. Little/manageable work. Take her!

Tamara is an amazing professor. She is passionate about everything she talks about and you will not get bored during her lectures. Her passion makes you passionate about WAGS too and I do not regret taking her class one bit. You basically only have to write 4 blog posts and comment on other student's posts. It's a great class, and very interesting.

Easy class, just show up and do the tophat and make sure to keep up to date on blog posts and comments. I wasn't a huge fan of Tamara, she's very oppinionated and pretty much uses the whole class period to talk on and on about her extremely modern beliefs. If you're a huge feminist or looking to fill a goal it's an easy A.
