VERY RUDE! HATE HER WITH A PASSION! Thought the class was fun, but she is just rude! Would never recommend taking her again. She calls you out if you skip class, and if she does not like something. Textbook only use like 2 days, so its kind of optional in my opinion.

T Sweet is the best! She's understanding, as long as you communicate and actually put in effort. The classroom environment is very laid back, and she's easy to access outside of class. The only downsides are that she lectures almost the whole time, but she'll draw pictures on the board to help visual learners, and the shop hours are really hands on

The second half of stage management is more practical stuff than the first half. We were each assigned to a show as a SM or ASM and then class time would usually be problem solving. Sometimes it would be a lecture and there was a guest SM once.

Play writing is a fun class because it's unlike other English classes. You can take the prompt and go where ever you want with it. In addition to writing two plays you also learn about the process and other things like the differences between play and movie scripts.

The main part of this class was to learn exactly what a stage manager is and what they do so it's kind of lecture heavy but T does a great job making it interesting. The big project is to make and maintain a prompt book for the class as if you were the stage manager. She isn't afraid to tell you what you did wrong.

Professor sweet is not the teacher to have. She is rude and goes into great lengths over everything. She makes you work in the scene shop twice a week for two hours. tests and quizzes are hard.

Lectures are insanely detailed. I've taken four pages of notes during one lecture before. She is very specific and uses lots of drawings during the lectures too. Hardly any written homework, but she does make you work in the scene shop for four hours every week as part of your grade. If you don't like manual labor, stay away. Haven't used textbook.

i was reading the comments on here & realized they were all extremely old. Tanya is horrible. she and theaterCNU have been the bane of my existence at CNU. Shes rude and she and that dept only care about you if you're a theater major other than that they will throw u under the bus in a heartbeat. aint nothin sweet about this woman #realtalk

Great personality, extremely nice. Quizzes and tests are hard. Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into by taking this class, just needed an AofI. If you're not a theater major you better be prepared to work to be on her good side. She has a way of being very open and outspoken, just roll with it. Study for her quizzes!!! And DO NOT miss lab!!

She is clearly very intelligent. However, she treated the class as if we were all theatre majors. I devoted a huge amount of time to this class and was still struggling to keep up. I did learn alot of skills I can use for the rest of my life. The tests are incredibly hard. Write everything she says down. Grades hard. Not awful considering the AofI.

this class is awesome. It's super hard at first for those who know very little about the subject. The quiz's are tough and the exams are even harder but it really pays off. I learned so much about the subject! Lab is fun at times but get coffee before you go because if youre tired you will just die. loved the class. and LOVE Prof. Sweet.
