Someone pointed this site out to me. I caution students to look at the low sample size and also consider awards that professors may attain. I know that this site does not reflect the student evaluations that most of the students submit. It can represent a few disgruntled student who can heavily mask results.

She needs to lessen the material in this course. Students end up cramming and it all goes downhill. My only takeaway from this class is that calibration is important and she loves her research.

Her lectures are clear and make sense. Her review sessions arent much help. Gave the class a pop quiz because half the class didnt show up. Exams are difficult only because there is too much material she is trying to cram in one semester. Gives partial credit now every and then.

She is an amazing professor. Very professional (very few in the BME department). Uses the book very often. If you do the hwrks and the reviews she gives, you will be good. The stuff that is teaches makes sense and she replies emails. One of the best professors i have had so far. We need more professors like her :)

Excellent Professor: Dr. Alvarez prepared you very well to defend yourself on the instrumentation track on the BME field. I recommend to take the class (BE 489) very seriously and you will learn a lot. Tons of information, it is a good review too. We absolutely need more professor like Dr. Alvarez on the BME Instrumentation department :D

This is probably the worst professor i had in NJIT other than Prof. Fabiano. These type of people.. when they wake up every morning take some kind of oath that they are going to give students a very hard time. They have a intention to fail students and make tests harder than they are supposed to be. Especially Alvarez.. its too much.
