I took Prof Tripp for Nature of Crime and Intro to CJ. I really liked her teaching style and how she will use movies and shows to really demonstrate her teachings. She also gives great examples and great stories in order to get her point across. Do not skip her class because she takes attendance grading seriously

Prof Tripp is funny and really cares about the success of her students. She brought in a lot of guest speakers in the community corrections field which was really helpful for career development. Would definitely recommend.

awful. makes everyone feel super uncomfortable in class, she will attack anyone who has a different opinion than her but then expects everyone to be participating. Her powerpoint slides are worded awful. She does't answer emails and doesn't post powerpoint slides. will avoid taking classes with her again!

Tripp is very passionate and educated about her work, but if you don't agree with her point of view she'll say you're wrong. Nature of Crime was really easy with her, but she does have a lot of notes and goes through them pretty fast. She's a decent professor, but if you can find a better one for the same class maybe choose them over her.

Ms. Tripp is an awesome professor. I took her my first semester at Temple and tried to take as many of her classes as I could before I graduated. She gives you a lot of content to pay attention to in class but if you take good notes you will be golden for her exams. She's hilarious and keeps class interesting with her stories and current events.

I love Tripp so much!! I took her for Nature of Crime, Women Beyond Borders and Community Corrections. I am also taking her for Race & CJ! She's honestly amazing, although her lectures are pretty long. For assignments, she doesn't really follow the syllabus and random assignments might magically appear but overall she's great.

I was so excited for this course. Professor Tripp disappointed my expectations, tremendously. She expects students to be willing to answer questions in class that are so horribly worded, it is just difficult to interpret/understand. Also, she strays away from the syllabus, claiming it's for our benefit. Obnoxious as well. Would not take her again.

Tripp is horrible. She teaches in a complete darkness, NEVER answer emails, doesn't upload slides but at the same time doesn't give you enough time to copy from the board. Her slides are long, boring and unrelated to the exam material. Will do my best to avoid taking her again.

Ms. Tripp is a Former Probation officer and knows her stuff about the criminal justice system. Classes are sometimes controversial on topics w/ race and policing, but she stimulates a great class discussion that keeps everybody awake and involved. Tests are easy if you study the provided exam review. NO HOMEWORK:) but lecture notes are critical

Highly recommend! Keep in mind its writing intensive you will have papers!

Tripp is a great professor in the CJ department. I took her for Planned Change and It is a dreaded required course by CJ majors, however she made the class worth while. Speak in class, that's where the best part of the class comes from. She is a really great grader and helps out on papers majorly. Worth it.

Tara Tripp is a great professor. I took her for Urban Minorities. I loved the course and recommend it. She is approachable, responds to email promptly, and uses real life examples. She has a great sense of humor and challenges students to do their best. Didn't use textbook much in class, but I did need it for test material.

Tara Tripp is a great professor. She is extremely helpful. Come to class, pay attention and if you need help ask her. She wants nothing but the best for the students in her class. She values respect, so when someone is talking, do not interrupt. Overall, love her, and took her for plenty of classes. She is definitely a great teacher.

Took her Inside-Out Prison Exchange class last fall. It was an incredible experience as we got to know each other and the female inmates while discussing real-world pressing issues. Take this class with Tripp in the future if she does it again. Just make sure to free up the whole day of the week for the class.

Easy A if you go to class and pay attention. However, if you get on her bad side, she is really rude and doesn't have a problem making a student look dumb. She says she wants to help but will act like you should know everything when you ask her a reasonable question.

Ms. Tripp is one of the best cj professors at TU. She genuinely wants you to succeed, both in her class and your professional endeavors. Her teaching style is laid back, yet very informative. Anticipating my 4th course with Tripp, I can 100% recommend her for any class she teaches, you'll learn a ton.
