Dr. Bui is a great professor. He has some trouble explaining certain things but, tries his best. He supports all his students and want them to learn something at the end of the day. Image processing is his research area but explains things such that even a newbie can understand.

He has a thorough understanding of the material and presents the main ideas that will be on the mid-terms and exams. The concepts are not hard to grasp, and he gives questions you have seen before, with very straight-forward calculations. The group project is not necessarily large but time consuming to learn program and in turn create algorithm.

Prof. Bui is an overall good teacher. He doesn't seem to have much patience when teaching his material, he goes quite fast. His assignments are easy and make sense but his midterm and final were really hard - full of proofs and we all hate proofs. Not the best but definitely not the worse professor in the dept of CS at Concordia!

All you have to do is ... DO, DO, and DO exercises to understand the theory. My last semester's final marks: 23 F, the average is D+. You should be "4WD" to pass his course. Good luck

Don't give up if you fail the first midterm even if you are on the average. Go to all tutorials, read the course notes and the chapters on the book. Exams are hard and he is a very average teacher, so you need to compensate that. If you can't avoid him, it's not the end of the world.

Good teacher. holds tough material till last ten minutes of lecture, then goes through it super fast, doesn't work very well as everyone is getting ready to leave. Very moody, try to make him remember you from the early going if you can't take the course with a better teacher.
