Dr. Allen is very passionate about the material, pretty silly, and understanding. The concepts can be difficult to follow because he doesn't provide the best context, but his notes are posted online and are helpful. Make sure to study past exams because they are very similar to the real test - also, his TA is generally very generous with points

Ted is an extremely nice person, and I can tell that he loves teaching. However, his lectures are unorganized and unclear, and his homework has nothing to do with anything covered in lecture. Tests are graded very easily. Go to the TA for help on homework and projects!

Dr Allen is such a nice dude. Its obvious that he cares a lot about the material and the students. However, he is not the best lecturer. He doesn't give much context for what he's talking about so its sometimes hard to see the bigger picture of what he's trying to say.

Okay so Ted is an adorable fun guy who is super passionate about statistics, he's just not always the best at giving clear direction and can sometimes be scattered. However, he's super helpful and friendly and wants you to succeed. His HW may confuse you, but he always gives good study guides and examples for his tests and projects!

He's a great guy and his lectures are entertaining. He goes off on tangents a lot, so it's hard to follow and that's where the book gets handy. He's really helpful, though, and always listens to feedback or concerns.

Just do the work and you should be okay. I really had no idea what was going on in the class but I did well because I did the few assignments and just made my cheat sheet his old tests. Answer questions in class and you'll get more points.

Professor tried to make the class interesting, but mainly ended up teaching straight from the book. Grading is not difficult. The project should be split up over the quarter as new techniques are taught, because it really helped in understanding the material.

95% for an A? He is testing on how lucky you are, not how much time you put on the study. The extra credit problems are absolutely irrelavant. The case study is led by some one who does not know how to communicate with student. :(

I tried to go to class...I really did, and for the first week I did go to class, but it was so boring I had to stop. The material can be confusing, but by reading the course packet and doing practice problems it gets easy. Put it in a little study time and you'll get an easy A.

He has put sooo much time on the course packet it is amazing. Many of you might say "I cant understand anything in it" but I challenge you to try writing about the topics there. Anyway, I think Allen puts a lot of effort in making his class a good one, he created an original structure for grading and is always available for help.

Nice guy but I didnt like the structure of the class. The project that is due at the end of the quarter should have been done earlier because it is the most useful tool in teaching the material. I also don't like weekly quizzes and really don't care for multiple choice. I prefer fewer more in depth quizzes that test application not memorization

Very nice professor and very interesting class. The only thing I dislike is we have too much quizzes instead of hw...... I prefer to do hw instead of quizzes...... In general, I learnt a lot from the class.
