I absolutely love Deka. She is one of the best professors I've ever had and I can definitely say that I would take different classes just because she is teaching them. She does weekly assignments (they aren't hard) & gives chances for small amounts of extra credit! Attendance isn't mandatory, but she gives up to 5 points EC on tests for attendance!

I took her online. This class was very interesting. She makes you work for your grade but you walk away knowing the material. Be sure to study for the test, it's 40 min for 50. ?'s.

Deka is the best professor that I've had yet. Her tests are hard as hell, but she makes you learn the material and she makes the classroom fun. Don't take her if you're looking for an easy a or if you get offended easily. She can a little off-color, but there is never a boring class.

very good professor. very interesting topic and something you would be able to use when you have children. Good service learning experience. You won't be able to get higher than a C if you don't read the book so read the text. I have learned a lot from this class. Deka is a very good professor.

AMAZING TEACHER!! Funny and is really into teaching. She loves to teach and it shows. Very helpful if you seek help. Can't use your phone in class or you get in trouble but you should be paying attention. Says very funny things. Very interestng class. Just do your work, and READ THE BOOK! and youll do fine. I don't understand all the neg responses. If you show up and do what you should she is great. If you ask she will always help to the point of sharing her personal books. Helping in any class not just hers if you ask. And she is good at helping personally if she can.

This class was overall pretty easy. The only text is the books she has you read for the class - they're novels (usually autobiographical) and pretty interesting. You need to be in class to take notes for the test too.

I found this to be an easy class. Almost 90% of what was on the test came straight from the notes. She makes the class fun and enjoyable. Several short film clips were shown. Overall a very easy teacher.
