This is my last quarter of Japanese before I get my minor, (2 years in Sensei's class!) Sensei is just wonderful, and she makes class fun. Vocabulary sometimes sneaks some jokes in, and if you come to class daily, you'll do great! First year is an absolute breeze, second year is a little harder, but sensei goes out of her way to find tutors for us.

Comment:

She can be a little difficult to understand with her accent sometimes, but in general she is a fun teacher. She brings in lots of cultural references and really helps make the language learning relevant. Lots of studying, but it is a language course, but lots of fun and interactive.

Comment:

Stradling-sensei was a sweet heart who is willing to let students jump into classes without taking prerequisites, as well as skipping numbers in the series when schedules conflict. Her classes are impossible to fail; I think the only way to get below a 4.0 is to not take tests. If you want a challenge don't look here.

She is very kind and helpful and makes learning a difficult language easier. She is not very strict about pronunciation but you will learn a lot of vocabulary. Be warned that the class is full of anime and game nerds that think that Japan is only about those things. Teiko sensei is great the classmate...not so much

Teiko Sensei is a wonderful teacher. She is so funny and makes learning Japanese seem easier than it is. She does test a lot, but that is to be expected when learning a foreign language. You must, however, go to class everyday so you don't get left behind.

I had the first 3 Japanese language classes with Teiko sensei. I thought she was a fun lady and had a good time in her class. Sometimes i had trouble understanding her, but i think that's to be expected in a forign language class. Overall, great class.

This is my second quarter of taking Teiko sensei's class and I LOVE IT AND I LOVE HER.. She is so sweet and funny. Who knows how old she is she acts young but really itsn't. Tests only from the things she tells you and you go over it a ton. Everyone should get an A. SO EASY!!

What a terrific class! I learned so much about Japan and Teiko made it fun and interesting. She tests directly from the notes, so there are no big surprises. She's a wonderful person and an excellent teacher. I'd HIGHLY recommend this class to anyone!
