She sucks plain and simple! I spent so much time on a paper and she was just useless for help. Yea im not a great writer but i had my dad even reveiw my paper and help with it. I got a big fat F and failed the class. Dont take her she needs to retire and go plant flowers or something

Very Nice teacher. She was always available outside of class for extra assistance. I got an A in her class. She got me into the Honors program at HCC and now i'm majoring in English.

I had this class in Fall 08, not sure if she is still teaching it. A very easy class. You met twice a week for 50 minutes. All you talked about was ways to study. It is impossible to have failed the course if you do all the work.

I thought she was very nice. She is helpful if you go to see her outside of class. She is a pretty tough grader though. You just have to put forth a lot of effort, and then you should do fine.

It is true that she is very nice, only she teaches like a high school teacher. You have daily journals, reading assignments, pointless mini-essays and a book presentation. I swear she taught exactly like my 10th grade english teacher and she even looks like her. Very picky grader. She gave me a d on a paper I thought I would AT LEAST get a B on.

Professor Madden is very picky. She finds it hard to give student As. Instead she gives them mediocre grades like A-, B+ etc, even when she claims your paper is outstanding. She is a good teacher, however the workload is inundating and sometimes monotonous.

For a non-graduation requirement course there was a lot of work involoved. Easy course, even if it isn't a pre-req or a co-req, it might be a good idea to take this course. If you do, take it with her. She is very organized, so you get your graded assignments back the next class. Warns u of upcoming assignments that r due. Very nice and helpfu

Unless you are a great writer and you know it and the worst professor who is grades really tough knows it take her. I worked my butt off and ended up with a C. You have five essays to write and they aren't easy.

For a beginning English course, she is the hardest prof. Her work outline was clear and very organized, but her work load was a lot. Do you readings and essays and stay on top of work to pass! PS. Go to the lab for help if you have trouble w/ your papers.
