Not a bad choice for someone who is taking English 202 but is defiantly passionate and knowledgable about the class. She has a lot of energy. Make sure to show up everyday since theirs a quiz and group work everyday just about.

Professor Michals is good person but a tough grader. Expect to read a lot for her class. She gives out quizzes the first few minutes of class so if youre not there, you will get a 0 on that quiz. If youre looking for an easy A class do not take her.

Professor Michals is a great professor and gives great feedback. She is a tough grader, but she does it so the students can learn from their mistakes. Attendance isn't mandatory, but she gives quizzes every class (1 question).

As someone who flunked her class because of overwhelming absences and lack of participation, I want people to be aware that she was actually very kind and graded fairly. It was because of my own circumstances I couldn't pass and she would have been an easy class. Only you have to be aware of 300+ pages of reading each week. Otherwise, great prof.

The books required for this course are fun and easy to read. You have to complete 10 blackboard posts, a 1 question quiz each class, 3 essays, and 3 tests. Essay topics are not hard but i HIGHLY suggest going to her office hours for advice. Tests are very easy as long as you know your vocab which she tells you what to study.

A lot of reading, 10 thread posts on blackboard, 1-question quizzes nearly every class (to make sure you're actually reading), and a few papers. I really enjoyed the class--she's funny and does an excellent job of balancing lecture with discussion. She's not that hard of a grader if you put some thought in your work. Highly recommend!

She is very helpful. Grades the in class essays kind of hard. She is extremely nice and the class is not extremely difficult. Some of her lectures are boring, but other than that it was a good class.

Comp 101 w Mrs. Michals was a completely bearable class, and the course helps you to develop your writing skills if you work. There were 4 major essays, which you had a good amount of time to work on. The workload was not terrible, it was more like a highschool english class(not AP). Classes were boring but only 50 minutes, so I cant complain.

She was very nice & helpful but became weird towards the very end. She adamantly refused to disclose important grades (final+last paper) until our official grade were posted on PatriotWeb. She was really nice & there's so much to learn from her, but there's a serious lack of transparency that is really frustrating. Recitation=WASTEOFTIME. #BIZARRE

Dr. Michals is nice & helpful. Clearly well-educated (M.A., Cornell, Ph.D, John Hopkins). The feedback that she gives on the 4 essays assigned is detailed & extremely helpful. She allows a revision on the 1st essay. There is a mandatory recitation that in my opinion, was a complete waste of time & did not really factor into the final grade. #NICE

Since this was a 6-credit class, I was initially pretty apprehensive about it, but Prof. Michals made it nearly painless. I definitely feel that I'm a better essay writer coming out of this class because of her.

Prof. Michals was a pretty good teacher. The books we read were interesting and our essays went hand in hand. She doesn't explain her promts very well and that was annoying. She's a tough grader but most people didn't get anything below a C. Overall, I liked her and would take her again.

This class is very similar to a high school English class. Prof. Michals assigned 4 essays throughout the semester. They were pretty easy to do. Go to the conferences, put in the effort, ask for help. She is very nice!

She gets VERY excited and just loves Shakespeare. She is always willing to help with your papers and chooses very interesting plays. She points out important quotes in class that help to study for the exams, which are not difficult as long as you DO YOUR READING! Moderate reading - about a play a week, can be less. GREAT CLASS! Highly recommended.
