Dr. TR-L is a very nice professor. but she tries to conveniet all of the students in the class and doesn't stick with due dates. she has no structure on class and we are always confused on what is going on. I feel like I learned nothing about public relations issues...

Nice lady but horrible teacher! Never sticks to due dates. We pushed assignments back multiple times & had to do papers during finals week because we were so behind. Didn't give back edited papers until the afternoon before my portfolio was due. She told me exactly what to add to a paper for a good grade & she only added 2 points. Not clear, ever.

Comment:

Russel-Lorretz is very nice and the class was ok. She gives quizzes which are hard because its not clear what you cover in class. However, the speeches and outlines are really easy if you just do what she says. She gives an example outline, follow and you'll get an A. Also gives XC for going to her office. I would recommend taking Comm from TRL.

This professor forgot to put one of my grades into the gradebook, landing me with a zero on a pretty substantial assignment. When I contacted her about it, she made excuses about how I hadn't done the assignment properly, though I had evidence to the contrary. She has a very serious miscommunication problem on top of everything. Avoid her.

Dr TRL was my least favorite teacher. She never seemed to remember when she said things were due. Extremely boring class and hard to sit through. Never listened to our feedback about confusing test questions or answers that she had wrong on the test. She never gave points back and was too strict on attendance even if you had a legitimate excuse.

She takes attendance everyday so make sure you are there. She gives like 6 quizzes that are based on the textbook. She only gives 2 tests the mid term and the final. Most of the questions come from the quizzes. Her tests are really hard and are a big part of your grade. The speeches are not to bad. There are only three and one is a group speech.

She is an excellent educator who truly cares about her students. 3 speeches, 3 exams, and a quiz every now and then. She doesn't like note card reading but if she sees that you are trying and putting a lot of work into bettering yourself, she will give you at least a B or an A. TAKE HER!

My favorite professor at MU. She's been my adviser 4 years. I've had her for PR 1,3,4 and Crisis Comm. She really cares about her students and wants you to do well. Go to class, do the work, don't be lazy, and you'll get the grade you deserve. Overall she's a real cool lady and knows her stuff.

Ughhh where to start... she doesn't make sense, makes up due dates when she feels like it, overly strict on attendance, she seems nice but says really rude things with a huge smile on her face. I missed 2 classes and she sent me a nasty email advising me to drop her class.... what!? I ignored it and finished but I didn't like her AT ALL.

I don't know. She's very nice, but her teaching is so inconsistent. It's like she makes up due dates on the spot. If you can public speak, you'll get an easy A, and if not, you'll probably get at least a B+. Overall, she could be clearer, but at least she's bearable.

My favorite prof at MU. Many don't like her, but if you get to know her personally, she'll be your fav, too. She's a little scatter-brained and talks in abstract concepts but if you show her you're interested in learning, she'll show interest in you. Build a relationship with her and you'll be very rewarded (in knowledge and good grades).

a seemingly nice lady...but im convinced she lets her personal views cloud her grading of debates. not at all understanding of students as individuals. in fact, sometimes i swear she was insulting people. fight her for every point! if you can get away with it, dont buy the books, theyre worthless.

Dr. Russel-Lorretz is an alright prof. She does care about her students and is a relatively laid-back individual. Make sure you take notes... the exam we had was kind of tough. You don't use the textbooks that often... overall, it's kind of hard to study for her class. But it's not bad, and she's not bad either.
