She really cares about history and it shows. She grades leniently and tells you what's on the tests and lets you pick what you want to answer. Easy class but you learn soo much. Only graded by three tests and paper.

One of my favorite all time classes! History of Vietnam; a Hundred Year Conflict. Extremely knowledgeable, excited about the subject which in turn makes you excited about it. Be prepared to work but you won't regret it, I learned the most in this class. Would love to take another class with her if I can find a way to fit it in my degree criteria.

When was the Berlin Wall Built? Who created a strong Chinese dynasty? World War 3? She somehow knows all the answers off the top of her head (maybe not the last one). Wannna pass? Ace those map tests and essays! Serious! I spent 2 hours studying before and aced all essays in class (Short term memory is a blessing) Seriously read the book 4 essays

Thomas is so knowledgeable it's not even funny. She is incredibly invested in her work and expects you to be too. She answers any questions you may possibly have, but her tests are hard. There are three blue book exams and a research paper; don't choke or you'll fail. She is kind though, and brought us Oreos on the day of the final.

She has interesting lectures, she has a lot of knowledge in what she teaches, her tests are blue book essays so make sure you study very hard, she assigns a research paper, she gives map quizzes, she answers any and all questions, and overall she is respected by students.

I know I'm not the only one when I say history is not my strong suit, and this course was a straight up bust for me. Her power points make no sense, and her lectures go so long that she sometimes keeps you past the scheduled time. Also, your overall grade is made up of a paper and 3 big exams, so if you don't do well on one you're screwed

I am not a history person at all but if you need to take a history class take it with her. She gives 4 test and 20 points on them are maps that she gives you to study. She is really interested in what she teaches and she puts excitement into her teaching.

I really enjoyed class with Professor Thomas. She is very passionate about what she teaches which makes the material enjoyable. She is knowledgable and usually helps the best she can. Lectures are long but interesting, and tests and papers are no problem as long as you read.

Outstanding teacher here at FSU! Wish I could have taken every history class with her. Very helpful and understanding. Easy grader on papers. Tests are in 3 parts: map quiz, take home and in class. All of these come with a guide. Tells great stories and explains things really well. You can't go wrong. Most fun I had in my last semester at FSU!!

I had no interest in History beforehand, but I enjoyed her World Civs III class though it got a little boring every now and again. I was surprised that I was actually interested in the subject matter! She loves to answer questions and is willing to help. You will definitely need your Document textbook, but the Duiker text isn't really used.

As someone who absolutely despises history I enjoyed her class. She's a good storyteller and asks her students questions every now and then to interact. Her tests are essay tests and not multiple choice and she tells you everything you will need to know on the test and what the questions will be. No surprises. I would recommend her for good writers

Classes were very repetitive, and a bit dull. Overall, the material was very easy to understand, and she put her lecture slides on blackboard, so studying for the 3 exams was very easy. She also prepares you for the tests ahead of time. Only 4 grades go toward your final grade in the whole class though, 3 tests and 1 essay, which make it harder.
