Class breakdown: 1 paper 800-1000 words (she makes you do a draft and corrects any mistakes, so the final draft is easy to get an A), readings before every class, hw once a week (5 questions on the readings, 15 in total but only have to do 12), attendance is graded every day, midterm and final are exactly like the study guide. Clear lectures.

Wright is a cut and dry professor. Attendance and buying the books are mandatory. Weekly reading assignments, 1 essay w/ required 1st and 2nd drafts, and 2 exams. If you do not turn in a certain amount of reading assignments or the 1st draft of the essay you will automatically fail the class. Do not take if you have a hard time doing weekly hw.

I took her class during the May intersession. Class consisted of: 5 quizzes (20 Qs), a Linking assignment, a paper, and a final. As long as you take detailed notes and skim the textbook you'll do fine on quizzes. She is clear and detailed, wants everyone to pass. Make sure you go to office hour for your paper, it will help you get a good grade.

I learned a lot in this class. Professor is professional and knows her material very well. Enthusiastic and seems to enjoy teaching. However, workload is very high and demands many hours of reading. I spent twice as many hours reading and preparing for this course than I did for my other courses. Overall, good class.

She is a wonderful professor. Makes learning about government enjoyable. Follow all of her directions on the assignments and you can get A's on them all. One research assignment, one paper, five tests. Attendance is mandatory to get an A.

Dr. Wright is intimidating at first but she is very nice. Took the summer class and gives you a ten minute break every hour but she keeps you in the whole 4 hours. The class is really interesting and the information she gives you is very unbiased as a government class should be. Don't buy the book just make sure you go to class. Easy class and great teacher

Easy class. Even though class can get boring, you must attend and take notes. Quizzes and tests are pretty much based off of lectures. Do all of the assignments, study, and you'll do fine. I did and got an A.

I took this class during the summer session and it was ok. Wasn't hard at all, but it wasn't easy. We had 6 test, and 2 papers to write. Lectures became boring after a while because it was a four hour class at night. Besides all that, she is a good professor and go to her office hours, she really helps.

Incredible class and even better teacher. Definitely puts into context China and its political history. She knows her stuff extremely well and presents it in an easy way to remember. Seemed more like listening to a good story rather than a lecture. Attend class because there is a lot of information to know and TURN IN ROUGH DRAFTS it helps a lot!

Just a chill teacher. Dont need to worry about this class at all and worry about your others. 6 Tests multiple choice, 20 ques. Take notes, good notes or study from study guide and go to the review. Easy A or B for those who do work and good on test. Test are simple. Like answering yes or no lol, but VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Superb teacher, only thing I regret is buying the book. Lectures are enjoyable and she assigns a fair amount of work. I suggest attending lectures, going to the study sessions, and turning in rough drafts. If you do all of those things I don't see how you can get lower than an A.

Great professor. The tests are almost a joke. You can go to her office hours the day before and she will tell you exactly what you need know know. She makes class interesting and does not impose her own political beliefs. Expect an A.

IF you go to lecture, take notes and pay attention, you should do fine on all exams. If you want an A and want to learn more about political science, I recommend taking this class.
