I took an Upper level Literature Class years ago. Mythology. We covered "The Metamorphis of Ovid". Dr Borchers was one of the best, easiest classes I took. Why you ask? She permitted as many submissions and revisions as you wanted prior to project due date. If you were willing to work, she would would work for you. She made me a better writer.

Terri has great potential to be a wonderful professor and mold great writers. However, She allows for her power greed and intense personality to interfere with actually educating her students. She is unclear in what she wants from her students, and she is a critical grader. She has unrealistic expectations and fails to communicate properly.

Absolutely HATE. She is extremely critical, rude, does not accept that many of her students do NOT want to be English major or even close. Do not take her class unless you want to sit through an hour and a half of lecture and then embarrassment.

Ok, here's the thing. You are not going to like any of her classes if you don't do your work. Like any other professor, she wont like it if you show up to class empty-handed. Intimidating, but only to students who don't want the help. Terri is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She really cares about her students, and she wants you to succeed. If you really want to learn something, definitely take one of her classes. You will be amazed at what you learn.

A LOT of work. The assignments usually were not clear. Puts students down-especially in front of the class. Prefers to teach via intimidation. Would not recommend taking 411 from her, if you did not have her for 410. I'm not opposed to high standards, just her methods of holding students to them.
