Comment:

He has a monotone voice and is often late to class. He clearly knows what hes doing, but never takes the time to explain it. Lectures are short, but afterwards he doesn't offer help. Grading criteria is not clear, he does not use blackboard, and is not accessible outside of class. It is disappointing that hes the only animation teacher.

Terrible. We just sit in class learning nothing and watching him do stuff that we can't even understand. He does not slow down or explain things unless you ask. He does not care about your success and has no enthusiasm at all

I will never sign up for another class with this teacher. He is consistently 10-15 minutes late to class, is unspecific about the assignment requirements, refuses to help or answer any question if it is break-time or when class is not in session, never checks his email, needs to be reminded of anything, and has poor teaching pace. Not recommended.

Horrible teacher. No enthusiasm in class. No enthusiasm to answer students questions. Rushes through his lessons because HE knows what to do but he never pauses so you can figure out what he's doing.

he's very tech savvy however he tends to lay back alot. typically he gives a short lecture then turns you loose to work on your project. he's there to help but you HAVE TO ask for it which quickly becomes discouraging. if your not a self-help and independent student this class will be tough.

Even he has lower voice but Mr. Dixon has a lot of skill in adobe if you pay attention to his class, do his assignment and ask immediately if you don't understand. Not easy assignments but it made you think outside the box!

He sucks! Terry sits back on his computer most of the time and does not offer help to the students.I teaches about an hour and then we sit back for the rest of the 3 hours doing nothing. I can't believe he is a full time teacher. He has a very boring voice and slow make the class boring.Please consider to another teacher.

This was Mr. Dixon's first lecture class, I've also had him for Intro to Comp Art. He did okay considering this was his first time presenting this type of material, but being a 3 hour class it was extremely tedious as the material presented was directly from the book. Fortunately he did extra research to emphasize on certain artists.

He's willing to help out with Photoshop/Illustrator tricks, but he NEVER offers any artistic or creative feedback. When you refuse to talk to him because you know it's a waste of time, he stands behind you and watches you until you do. Also, he gets on your case when you're not working at a certain pace. This is COLLEGE and I can pace myself.

The 2D Animation was cool, but the projects were hard and it made me learn a lot. Mr. Dixon talked about the video and film industry positions and how it related to animation. I never new that animation was so time consuming until I had the class. The teacher also talked about sound and how it tied to animation. I learned a lot from Mr. Dixon.

Hmmm I agree with the recent person, about how Mr. Dixon has been at the campus and has taught 2D Animation and other various Digital Art classes in the Art Department. I dont know where these individuals start to down his knowledge. This guy is over qualified and is very helpfull to his students. I hope its not a racial thing. His well rounded!
